What Warmoth guitars have a 4 knob LP style option (and other questions)?

I built a chambered mahogany/all maple necked vip. It's about 7.8lbs For your situation, have you considered stacked pots? Gotoh makes knurled metal knobs for them in chrome, black, cosmo, and gold.

    Drilling through a W finish

I use a paddle bit with points at the tips to drill mine. Blue tape first to lay out Push point into layout mark Moderate speed with moderate down force to drill. Be careful as the points cut in. Once they do, they isolate the hole from the surrounding paint. Peel the blue tape off at an...

7/8 soloist! Here is your 24 fret super strat to woo that crowd. offer at least the warmoth tiltback On it as well. Meadowhawk bodies and necks. Stop torturing us! Offset dots all to the bass side as an option, or optionally swap the high registers to the treble side. Maybe another neck...

    Neck profile question.

I have a 59, a fatback, and a boatneck. The lack of taper is definitely an eye opener for the uninitiated, but it makes sense at least for those that lay thumb around. Regarding the v, to me it's the best of both worlds. Those worlds being the 59 and the fatback. I like the thicker...

    Gibson conversion or 7/8 build

My gibson scaled boatneck was the one that turned 30 minutes of playing before aches set in, to 2 hours or so, easy. It's THAT drastic. Get the conversion neck, btw. It fits on any body that is set up to accept a fender compatible neck. There are tons more body shapes to choose from as well.

Neck Profiles - Width, depth or both?

Sounds like the OP has larger hands. What stratamania said, look intobat least the 59 roundback in 1 11/16". I have one of those, as well as a fatback and boatneck. To me, the 59 was my favorite for close to 15 years, until I got the boatneck. I move around as well on it as I do the 59...

Gotoh SD91 Magnum Locking Tuners - any good?

I have a set of these. They work well, but are kinda pointless. They are some much more finicky than the thumbwheel versions. They look cleaner and all, but if it was between aesthetics and performance I'd go thumbwheel next time. Oh, and mini tulip buttons! Very cool option you rarely see...

    No knobs, No switches!

Just plug it in and go? Nope. Most el strippo I've seen was a 2 pickup guitar with individual volumes.

Telecaster sized p-90 bridge pickups, any opinions experience?

Or the vintage plus, for something halfway between a p90 and a tele. Picture a tele with the perfect amount of bass and mids. They were the flavor of the month back around the turn of the century. Lol. I wanted a set of pickups so good that I'd never have to swap them. I got that! 25 years...

Nice collection. That strat really pops next to the wood tones. I completed my last one just over a year ago, and now have the itch for another one.

    24.75 scale, jumbo frets. Overkill?

I got my first short scale neck with 6115ss. They feel closer to 6150s than they do 6100s. But to answer your question, I wouldn't worry about the spacing since you never hit the fretboard at the higher frets. The crown to crown measurement would be the same no matter what frets you get...

Which Neck profile for Hendrix thumb over style?

I have a 59, fatback, and boatneck. The 1st two have 1 11/16" nuts the boat has a 1.65. I also have not too big hands for my size (6-3 and I just miss panning a basketball) I can thumb-over easily on the 59 and the boat. The fatback is possible, but I have less range of movement. I agree...

Two tones - Share cap or not?

You can use a super switch to assign either tone control to any position. This eliminates the double loading of 2 caps. You can use a 250k/.047cap for one and a 500k/.022 on the other, then choose which goes where on an hss or hsh guitar. Of course, the switch isn't an original looking...
