My gibson scaled boatneck was the one that turned 30 minutes of playing before aches set in, to 2 hours or so, easy. It's THAT drastic. Get the conversion neck, btw. It fits on any body that is set up to accept a fender compatible neck. There are tons more body shapes to choose from as well.

I have a set of these. They work well, but are kinda pointless. They are some much more finicky than the thumbwheel versions. They look cleaner and all, but if it was between aesthetics and performance I'd go thumbwheel next time. Oh, and mini tulip buttons! Very cool option you rarely see...

I got my first short scale neck with 6115ss. They feel closer to 6150s than they do 6100s. But to answer your question, I wouldn't worry about the spacing since you never hit the fretboard at the higher frets. The crown to crown measurement would be the same no matter what frets you get...

You can use a super switch to assign either tone control to any position. This eliminates the double loading of 2 caps. You can use a 250k/.047cap for one and a 500k/.022 on the other, then choose which goes where on an hss or hsh guitar. Of course, the switch isn't an original looking...
