    My boutique PUP experience (BKP/Lollar)

The neck and fingerboard are separate and both canary. The neck is much darker - I'm guessing that they choose lighter for fingerboards - this one has a lot of thin lines for figuring. I'll try to get a better shot of the neck front and back. I was expecting a darker fretboard, but was really...

Body: 1 piece Swamp Ash 7/8 Strat Neck: Unfinished Canary neck and fingerboard Neck Pup: Lollar P90 Middle Pup: SD Antiquity Surf 2 Bridge Pup: BareKnuckles Nailbomb I am so glad that I went with the canary neck. Unfinished necks are so much nicer feeling.

    Green Korina Strat

Wow - that finish is awesome! I thought that Warmoth only did dye finishes on figured maple tops. Is this a custom job? Details?

I am building out a Warmoth: super light ash soloist body, Wilkinson trem, and possibly a full canary neck (might just stick with maple/rosewood). The HFS in the...

Possible to build a sub 6lb strat with a good trem?

Why I want low weight: I work at home and can have my guitar on my shoulder for 8+ hours in a day. When I am recording, I find myself leaning over the computer desk with my guitar weighing me down. I only play standing (can't fricking stand trying to play while sitting on my ass). I play an 8.5...

Possible to build a sub 6lb strat with a good trem?

http://www.unofficialwarmoth.com/index.php?topic=14438.0 I told you I did my homework  :icon_thumright: I am starting to think I'll build a hardtail 7/8, put a mahog neck on it (lighter right?), and call it a comfortable SG.

Possible to build a sub 6lb strat with a good trem?

Chambered = a harder edge radius. Plus I'd rather pay the extra money to ask them to select a lighter body blank.

Possible to build a sub 6lb strat with a good trem?

I have been trying to do my homework searching these forums and have determined the following details: A maple neck weighs roughly 2lbs A Wilkinson Trem weighs 1.2lbs I couldn't find general weights on pots and pickups, but even if I assume light: 3 Pots 1 switch and wiring = 5oz 2 humbuckers...
