It just isn’t level yet, you can still slowly build it up more, then you should have enough to level sand back and still have plenty of clear to protect the wood and maintain a deep shine once buffed out. It’s gonna be stunning once you get there though.

Even then, carriers have a business model also, and if they have to pay more for fuel, and road use taxes,you can bet they are going to pass that along as well so that their minimal profit margin remains in tact. I say this as I was transportation dispatcher for 17 years and a terminal manager...
Well, with Washington state raising the highest gas tax in state history, you can bet that the carriers are raising rates, which will pass on to shippers, and ultimately the end user. You can’t expect a merchant to eat that difference if the already small profit margin is going to decrease.
For heavy rock and all points in between, I’ve rally been digging the EMG 58 as of late. It’s a P90 voice in a Humbucker cap, with just a touch more output, and dead silent. It’s become one of my new favorite recording pickups as I am still a die hard 57/66 combo guy.
