I have two all-maple Velocity builds with EMGs (SA&81 configurations). They cover a lot of ground (jazz, blues, funk, soul, rock).

Love the way that build is turning out! I did a chambered mahogany tele with an ebony/mahogany neck with a CC neck pickup about a decade ago. Strung it with some heavy strings, and it sings. That CC is strong.
