If you can't hear the difference between a Les Paul and a Stratocaster you should stop playing! Just cuz you can't make a distinction doesn't mean its not there... you just cant hear it YET.

I've made 10+ Warmoth builds with almost all wood types. They had wildly differing sounds/properties. I already know the answer... just need some support.

I have been a teacher full time for over 25 years. I notice that some peoples thumbs look more comfortable on the side (like ur pic) or pointed more straight up. Its as common as being double jointed but the latter (thub up) have an easier time with fatigue.

I was thinking titanium... isn't that little resistance? Could I set it higher than most to lesson the negative effect? I just hate the look and tuning problems of the string trees. Maybe I'll buy an angled strat neck next time.

Can I use a Floyd Rose string retainer with just a graphite nut & locking tnrs? Its for a modern strat-style neck
