Smooth - easy turning 500K pot - solid shaft?

OK then. Let's Pick a humbucker and have a crack at it. How about a Gibson Burstbucker pro Burstbucker Neck = 7.8K - Bridge = 8.3K - Both Alnico V or GFS Vintage '59 - Neck = 8K - Bridge = 8.5K - Both Alnico V or you pick ones that you're familiar with?

Smooth - easy turning 500K pot - solid shaft?

On an other subject - but still pot related. I have two very nice older Emerson 1 meg pots. Very nice loose feel. Very clean lugs. Has anyone tried 1 meg pots for Volume or tone on humbuckers? I wonder how much brighter a 1 meg is compared to a 500K. I guess I'd have to hear the difference to...

Smooth - easy turning 500K pot - solid shaft?

I have a set of Gotoh SGS510Z mini Locking tuners and they're not very smooth to the feel when turning. Does anyone have any experience lubricating locking tuners like these with dry graphite lube? Thank you!

ChatGPT - neck wood choices - Young’s modulus - gigapascals, GPa

In my experience it has been a bit more selective than that - in that it attempts to weed out the garbage. Sometimes it's not as effective as it could be - when it comes to being accurate - but I suspect it is improving with time and continued training by it's 'human' team. The "concise" part I...

ChatGPT - neck wood choices - Young’s modulus - gigapascals, GPa

I've been having an off and on chat with ChatGPT about the science behind wood choices for necks - shaft and fret board - and also chambered bodies and different lam tops - and how these different choices 'might' have an impact on 'perceived' tone. I can't guarantee the accuracy of any of...
