I've had a couple of basses with brass nuts, but I haven't noticed a significant difference between them and the instruments with graphite/corian/bone nuts.
I think so, I've ordered a Warwick RockCase that should be long enough. It's actually made for one of the ultra-pointy BC Rich bass models, but the internal measurements looked good. I hope I get it soon, I'm using a Firebird gig bag now with the headstock sticking out :icon_biggrin:
It sounds MASSIVE, especially with the pickups switched to series. Subtlety goes out the window :icon_biggrin: It is heavy, but the sound's worth it.

The neck and body are showcase items, they just happened to be exactly what I was looking for. Tuners and bridge are also from Warmoth, the pickups...
