I had a Charvel once and loved it. Could not tell if it was finished or not - the neck just felt great! What oil would they use, you think?

I love Roasted Maple and have some of those unfinished. However, for pure aesthetic reasons, I need a completely pale/white 1-piece Maple neck. Otherwise, I'd be all over roasted!

Ah that's good to know, thanks Aaron! Yes, it's incredible how different even the smallest difference makes to the overal neck feel. (does that sentence make any sense?) Guess I'll go 1-3/4" nut width then and just go with a tad thinner profile, than what I would have gone with a 1-11/16" nut.

Anyone else, besides me prefer a 1.7" nut width over 1-11/16"? I know, it's a small difference, but I really feel it. Just fills out my hand better. OTOH, 1.75" is just a tiny bit too wide. So I'm kinda stuck... Anyone ever order a 1.7" from Warmoth as an off-menu option?

I couldn't go low enough without bends choking out at 7.25" or even 7.25" - 9.5" compound. I liked the feel of those, but eventually sold them as the action had to be just too high for my liking. Starting at 12" straight, action can be set reasonably low without notes fretting out. (As always...

Last time I asked (3 months ago) they wouldn't do any custom radiuses (radii?), other than the ones listed. I asked for a 12" - 14" compound.
