@HumanisHappy ... I guess you are not a fan of "relic" guitars :p.
Seriously, there are so many guitar cleaning products available. I've never been too picky. I'm currently working with a big bottle of Music Nomad "All Purpose Guitar Detailer For Matte & Gloss Finishes". Seems to do a good job...
I don't know what you mean by "straight", but the holes appear to be way shifted toward the top side of the neck pocket. That is, overall, just a disgusting piece of ... ummm ... workmanship.
One more available ...

I almost bought it, but backed out. The American Standard trem rout was the deal breaker. I thought about trying one of the Hipshot trems in it. But, ultimately, I'll end up buying the exact Strat I want when it comes...
What is "pretty cheap"? When I think about "stripping it down", I imagine a refinish. Are you talking about just "stripping down" the parts, or doing a refinish? Hmmm ...
Make sure the neck pocket dimensions match the Warmoth standard.
Whoever bought the Sound Garden Salad hardtail Strat today ... thank you! ;)
I really don't need / can't afford another guitar project right now. However, I was giving it until tomorrow. If it was still there, I was going to grab it!
I love that color.
Sorry, I didn't notice your "sneaky link". It blended right in with the rest of the text. I had to do an investigative search to figure out what you were talking about.
Also, you didn't answer my question.
Whatever. I'm tapping out on this one 🫤. Too many variables for me to get involved...
If all your other guitars sound great through this amp, I would not suggest swapping the speaker. It is not the kind of amp I play through. However, I do have a Supro Keeley 1x12" with the creamback. It's great for what I use it for. Nice for old school grit and grime, but for defined metal...
What are you playing it into?
I like "ice-pick, painful" ... probably of no help to you ;) . I've always found it easier to roll back high end than to try to create it when it isn't there in the first place.
What type of tone are you going for?
