For what it's worth, stew mac stands by its products so if there's something inferior they will take it back. I always go with the Warmoth ferrules, as I feel they should fit the holes they drill. Sometimes I have to do a little sanding but it's not too bad. the flush mount ones look interesting.

Did you remove copper shielding from around the neck pup so that the pup was just touching the pickguard plastic? Or was it just removing the blob of solder at the lug?

Looks great (and sounds great), though I'm wondering what the original bigsby was like. Can you even put a bigsby on a mooncaster? Maybe.

What's $25? Who pays that for ferrules?

In my limited contact with Japanese companies I've found them reputable and forthright, so they must think they are doing things legit. Japan is a great market, they look for quality items like yours. I'm sure they'll have a sensible explanation, and probably would love to be an outlet for you
