Also, the bridge is pretty good too ... has a thicker resonance (to me) ... still sounds like a tele. I like the warmth of the plain brass. The Aaron makes everything sound good ...

Looks to me like you'll have to figure out some stenciling. I've only done one color with paper stencils, made out of manilla folders, (that I did myself) glued the paper stencil with hobby glue, and only did guitar cases, and used an aerosol can ... a little bleed over adds to the charm...

Because I'm not genius when it comes to wiring, I always look for a wiring diagram at either Seymour Duncan, Freeway or DiMarzio. Usually, with one of those I find something close to what I'm looking for. What kind of switching are you looking for?

Plus 1 on the pickguard. Too late for me though, I placed an order 6 weeks ago, on a jazzmaster pickguard, so it'll be too bothersome (or not cost effective) to do a change.
