Single coil in Humbucker Routed slot?

Presently, I have the EMG Steve Lukather prewired set in there. While they are decent pickups, I've recently come to want an old school, woody strat sound.

    Recording with Sonar

No offense, but from what I understand this would be terrible advice. Digital recording is much different than analog.  If he's looking at the meters in his software mixer and averaging around -3DBfs he's about 10-15DBs too high. This would leave him absolutely no headroom.   Any professional...

Because I want a more traditional single-coil stratty sound. The dimarzio's sound great.

Single coil in Humbucker Routed slot?

My strat body I ordered awile back is routed for H-S-S configuration. I want to change my bridge humbucker to the single-coil Dimarzio Area 61. Other than getting a new pickguard with the traditional S-S-S configuration, angled bridge pup and all, does anyone know if I might have problems...

    Wilkinson trem question

I'm not sure what you mean about the lead base. The wilkinsons have a seperate shaft rig for the trem bar. Are you referring to the whole vertical block on the bottom of the trem? I'll probably have to replace this shaft rig. I'm not sure you can even buy spare parts for the wilkinsons. I would...

    Wilkinson trem question

I like the wilkinson, but the document or support for their products is lacking. I can't find any company website, or place to get replacement parts.

    Wilkinson trem question

No idea. The bar is just permanently tight now. I unscrew the allen screw and it does not loosen the bar. It seems like the shaft was compressed while trying to tighten the brass ring. It's doesn't appear that way by just looking at it, but I can't think of any other reason.

    Wilkinson trem question

Well after trying to turn that brass ring, I've really marred it up and screwed it up. The bar is VERY tough to turn now(the little allen screw on the side to adjust tension does nothing now), and as well as wobbling up and down, it now wobbles side to side...:( I don't recommend messing with it.

    Wilkinson trem question

At least I'm not the only one with this problem. I love the wilkinson, but I hate this wobble. This has been the problem I"ve had with every tremolo unit, from push in floyds, to vintage strat trems. I really wish there was someone who's found a fix for this. I tried taking off the wilkinson...
