Thanks, no battery connection needed, passive setup. But your suggestion led me to consider one of the flush mount output jacks I see that have a longer threaded barrel, so I ordered one from Amazon to try it out for size. My first thought was it may be TOO long to fit nicely in the cavity, but...
Well as a follow up to all this....I got my Warmoth dinky P body, and the EMG Geezer pickup install was a breeze, EXCEPT for the output jack, which just barely peeks through the wood enough to put a nut on the shaft, not enough for a washer and nut, it's that close, so I don't feel good about...
So I just happened to log in today and checked and my order now says "captured" vs pending (was pending yesterday). And when I actually open up the order, each piece says "1 Ordered, 1 Shipped" though I haven't received any shipping notification emails. So I'm thinking that should happen pretty...
Couple of quick pics of where the bug spray damaged it. Not huge, and not the end of the world, and certainly where my arm will wear on it naturally over time.
Well, I suppose basically, I would send them the body alone, to sand down as much as necessary, then apply a new paint color and satin finish. I am guessing not a lot different from the paint department receiving a body ready for painting? Though I know absolutely NOTHING about this process...
Yep, where my forearm rests, which is, of course, how it happened, had sprayed my arms LOL. Some of these outdoor gigs in south Florida can have swarms of mosquitos eating you alive as you play. Just never occurred to me to think it would eat away a finish so easily, and then realizing that I...
Just curious, I have a Warmoth parts bass where the body was damaged (just the finish, still plays fine) from bug spray (Off Deep Woods). I had no idea that bug spray would basically melt the finish off. It's painted a color, so no clear over pretty wood thing, with a satin finish. Heck, I may...
I really like this. Love roasted maple necks, and never decide which goes better for inlays, white or black. I keep defaulting to black but love the way yours looks. Maybe for my next one. I do wish Warmoth did the half moon side of the neck fret makers too.
Just thought is was a cool idea, where the headstock matches the block inlays, roasted maple inlays and neck/head stock, thought I would share....this person also got the blue painted over candy apple red, with no finish, so as it wears, it will "bleed through red" as he says.
Just when I pick a bass body, and choosing options, none show up in the pic like it used to, like the routing options, controls holes, color, etc.
May be an issue at work on their workstation, windows, firefox. I'll have to try it again at home.
Just curious, is the Warmoth site section where you design your guitar/bass body not working? Where you pick colors, pickup routs, etc? Or for not all body choices?
