The default spot for the output jack on Warmoth’s V’s is right in the spot that gets in the way playing sitting down (classical position, example below, and hopefully he’s jamming with Ozzy again right now).
The solution (aside from routing it myself in a new location which I am most...
I’ve been planning a build for some time now, and I’m just trying to work out the details. I know I want the 720 mod with a recessed Schaller bridge, but I’m worried about how little room that might leave for the pickups.
I was planning on putting a Sustainiac in the neck, which is 22mm tall...
On a guitar with the 720 mod and a neck with the 24 fret extension, how much room does that leave between the end of the fretboard and the neck pickup? Is it safer to just plan for a direct mount pickup, or is there room for a typical pickup ring?
Is it possible to get these on 24 fret necks and just have them up to the 21st fret? I’m assuming they’re not available on 24 fret necks standard because they’re too thick for the overhang.
You can get scalloped 24 fret necks that just don’t have the overhang frets scalloped, so I was...
I’m currently planning a build, and I know for sure that I want a raw, unfinished neck. I also want the fretboard to match. Neck profile is going to be wizard, if that matters.
Most important factor is feel. I want something that I’ll probably burnish, and that’s as smooth and silky as it can...
I can’t find any examples of a finished WGD build with 24 frets, but I wanted to see if it was possible. The cutaway obviously isn’t super deep, but with a contoured heel, is it at least practical to have the extended 24 frets?
Just noodling around, I barely go above the 20th fret or so, and...
So I’m playing the new Indiana Jones game while listening to Blood Incantation, and then suddenly Warmoth comes out with an Egyptian themed inlay set that looks dope while I’m planning a build. I feel my wallet being personally targeted.
Obviously the V shaped bodies are probably the best for upper fret access, and I know the Velocity is designed for that as well. But are there any body types that would be just too uncomfortable at the higher frets to be worth it?
