    Tremolo bar. Decisions, decisions...

Hmm, what kind of upward range does a properly set up non-recessed have, and what range for a recessed one?

Hey, do you think I should get a recessed one?  I'm wondering if you'll be able to see the lack of finish on the recessed part.

Alright guys, I'm gonna FLOYD IT!    :headbang1:

    Tremolo bar. Decisions, decisions...

Haha, everybody has their opinions. So, good points of the Floyd:  High range both downwards and upwards.  Will NOT go out of tune. Bad points:  Difficult to set up.  Difficult to tune.  Difficult to restring.  Although, the tremol-no (I think) should take care of the last two problems. So...

Ah, thanks!  And Cagey, that sucks.  =/  I'll definitely be praying for you, and thank you for the advice!

Haha, I'll mull it over.  (About the different locking nuts)  So, I'm 99% percent sure that I'm getting the Floyd.  I REALLY like this tremol-no, would add a lot of versatility to it.  Hey, DangerousR6, what do you think of the Tremol-No?  Have you ever tried it out?

    Tremolo bar. Decisions, decisions...

Hey, what do you think about having a Floyd Rose bridge, with a Super-Vee nut?  I like the look of it, AND I won't have to cut out a slot in the neck for it.  That way if I decide to have no tremolo, I can also take it off.  (Although the body will still have large holes in it from the Floyd...

    Tremolo bar. Decisions, decisions...

Haha, I like it because I can cut the ends of the string off from the tuners, that way I don't have to worry about poking anybodies eye out.  (Trust me.)    And it's easier to take out the old strings by cutting it, that way you won't have as much of a hard time unwinding it at the headstock. ...

    Tremolo bar. Decisions, decisions...

Actually, I've done a lot of research on it already, and several reviews stated that you could tune it much more easily, and not even have to use the fine-tuners.  As opposed to tuning it with the tuners, locking the nut, and then fine tuning it.  And don't worry, I always take a string...

    Tremolo bar. Decisions, decisions...

Oh, I wouldn't be using it for alternate tunings, as that's what the D-Tuna is for.  The absolute least it would be able to do is make it much easier to tune, and restring the guitar.  I can set it to stoptail mode for tuning and restringing, that way it will be much easier, and I don't have to...

    Tremolo bar. Decisions, decisions...

What about locking nuts?  *gulps*  Don't wanna know what that is.  The Wilkinson looks nice, but I still kinda want the Floyd for it's better range.  If this thing is any good, I will be going with a Floyd 100% percent:  http://www.allparts.com/Tremol-No-Products-s/273.htm?Click=8173  Do you...

    Tremolo bar. Decisions, decisions...

Haha, I'll have to check the Wilkinson out.  It looks nice though!  I actually don't care for the looks of the Floyd Rose, I prefer the vintage look, haha.  So, I shouldn't have any tuning problems with the Wilkinson trem though?  I'm hoping for at least an octave of downward range, and a minor...

    Tremolo bar. Decisions, decisions...

Haha, loved the post!  Well, I need a wide range of motion, both down, and up.  When posting a suggestion for a tremolo, please put what kind of range it is too!  Thanks everybody!

    Tremolo bar. Decisions, decisions...

Nexrex:  Hmm, what kind of range does it have? Rockskate:  Yeah, it would be preferable, but I have a stoptail, so it isn't really a concern.  Thanks, I'll check that out!

    Tremolo bar. Decisions, decisions...

Okay, so as of now, the bridges now in consideration are: Locking versions 1.  Floyd Rose 2.  Schaller 3.  Super-Vee Non-locking versions 4.  Wilkinson 5.  Blade-Runner 6.  Stetsbar I'd like to get some more opinions on these.  I think I'll end up going with a locking trem in the end, but...
