Gotoh Bridge. Kluson Tuners.
Neck is maple/rosewood with KWS Headstock and 25.5 scale.
I tape the pickups because sometimes I pick so hard the strings get trapped...
No problems with that. This is a one piece body. As far as I know. I don't see any glue marks on the body

Finally got the oils I ordered last week.
Here's the current state of the Firebird after being oiled(first layer) and tinted.
The picture doesn't do any justice for the real thing though. The grains have almost 3d-quality in them. Especially the maple neck almost looks like flame maple...

Sold the black pickups. I ordered some Danish Oil from an antique store a couple of days ago. Can I oil fully oil the neck and paint the headstock later if necessary?
I've been considering about the headstock and decided to finish it last. Mostly depending on how the body turns out to be
EDIT: Hmm. I oiled the fingerboard and now my inlays are vintage yellow.
Hmm. I'm going to check if I still have my wood clamps somewhere. I wasn't prepared to do any serious woodwork.

I wanted a veneer to the headstock but apparently it isn't allowed on flat angled headstocks. I'm planning on staining the neck but I've heard that maple doesn't get along with it very well. Is it true?
