All of my posts are of this same Guitar and nothing has changed. I’ve been asking how to get Orange peel and what not out of the finish for a while. The finish is taking some time so I’m still learning here

How are they contradicting anything? And I just apply it with my finger and have it drying in my room. No other part of my house would be good for finishing it

There is no between coats anymore. I have the desired amount of coats on now I just want it glossy. It is already super glossy just like poly right now but there are hairs and such in it. It’s been drying for about a week now.

Not much dust gets in it and it turned out nice with my maple neck but this dark roasted body shows mistakes a lot more. But my main question is will using micro mesh paper actually make a gloss? That’s what I read but it’s just dulling it. That led me to believe it’s probably not cured enough

Every time I wet sand my finish some spots look almost like finger print smudges. Does this mean my finish isn’t cured enough? I hear of people polishing with wet sanding micro mesh but it seems to dull the finish. I’m doing an all tru oil finish by the way and I know people will say you don’t...

They didn’t say. But apparently it was wired for 3 pickups and it was a 3 way switch

Just a ton of tru oil. That roasted alder really sucks it up. I’m still in the process of finishing it. I’m going to add another coat or 2 of tru oil and then wet sand it with some micro mesh paper. I have all the drilling done in this guitar but have yet to install the strap locks I have. It looks like the center line is directly in the middle of two pieces of wood glued together.. should I just move it over a tiny bit or will my guitar not hold up right?

Funny thing is... this is supposed to be my budget warmoth ... but I’ve put a grand into it already and have to buy humbuckers still.

I couldn’t afford a flamed top so I had to find something that looked expensive haha. I think this works. It reminds me of a nice piece of furniture

Also I had to have the stud screws raised up a little bit to be able to put the bridge in. So once it gets to the middle of the pivots I just screw it back down... idk if that’s right

Well for one thing it just doesn’t install very well without the string Tension. This is my First floating bridge so I didn’t know what to expect.but I’m still not sure about if the route is big enough to fully press down on the whammy bar as I can’t set it up without strings. I think it will...
