Nowadays I use D’Addario’s triangle one’s that I ”customize” myself by putting two circular rubber(?)/silicon(?) ”grips” on them.
This gives me a better, thicker grip while simultanously having a thin pick.
I’ve gone from thin to thick (heavy) picks and now back to thin ones.
If one looks at those reliced Rory Gallagher Strats there isn’t much finish left on them - so, yeah, it probably won’t be much of an issue having an unfinished body
More pros = you don’t need to worry about having a perfectly cut nut.
More pros = there’s less friction when using a trem so less risk of getting tuning problems because of whammy use.

D’Addario’s are great. I used them for many years as I found they had great quality and consistency. But lately - after a short stint with Fender Bullet’s (awesome) - I’m using Rotosound’s.

A string relief of 0.004 mm would be extremely hard to measure unless it’s done with some kind of laser or something similar.
0.004 mm is 50(!) times as thin as a 0.008” string - that we all know is really, really slinky.
