    hey the ebony finish looks nice!  stronger classic look than poly! thanks for posting, im confident ill like doing the same finish technique now. probably with gloss nitro over it.

    reguarding you ebony satin mim strat, id love to see a pic progress, ive got a yellow squire with a very nice neck id like to strip n stain.  id like to see if your staining will hide the wood piece joints??

    please get the black metal pickup rings for that, and black graptech bridge saddles! also, i think youll find no need for any shielding with lace pickups! ive got a few diff, lace dead silent!  maybe black tuner peg heads too? bad ash looking strat so far!  i like it as much as mine...er more :doh:

    pickups make the sound. on an electric, the sound through my amp with my lace sensor pickups in my squire strat was the same as they are now in my $1,100 warmoth build. but, the tone and feel and playability come from the quality. like the chambered body and quality locking tuners and weight...

    my veiw is cleaning over a period of time with fine steel wool first the lemon fretboard oil second brings the wood back to new, also  the wool polishes oxidized frets!  maybe you dont like waxing your car either? :dontknow:
