boatneck is too boaty, they should call it shipneck

my secret weapon is areas or HS dimarzio's run in single coil mode. MUCH better than hum cancelling mode (brighter and louder) and still lower noise than a standard single coil

i usually buy a boatneck then take more off the back . measure with calipers while you go. i prefer .890 to .900

Mahogany tends to splinter easy in high tension situations. Do y'all use the brass inserts with machine screws on those necks or just use standard strat neckplate screws?

some of those bodies are just junk. wood so soft the neck plate will sink into the body once tightened
