This Strat Brought to you by . . . Pabloman

Remember the neck "drops" into the neck pocket of the body.  Don't try to "slide" it in.  If that doesn't make sense, it will when you try it.

    Vox Tonelab ST ?

Got the Tonelab and man, blows my Boss GT Pro away.  As far as the Amps and Cabs goes.  Not bad for just $200.

Which job would you like at Warmoth ?

I'd scrub the toilets for an employee discount.  :icon_thumright:

    The best Strat

If that's the case then my first reply probably seemed out of line and I apologize.   Thought you were asking cause you were thinking of buying a Fender Strat, not just to get a conversation going about Strats.

    Vox Tonelab ST ?

I'm looking at something I can just plug in a set of headphones into to play at night in bed while the Mrs. watches TV.  I've narrowed it down to the ToneLab ST or the Pod 2.0.  More toward the Vox since it has an expression pedal.  Anyone have any input into any of these units?  My cutoff is...

    String Tree Question

why not just angle the bar.  Leave the "bass" side where it is, and move the "treble" side up some until it clears.

    Problems when sanding the clearcoat.

That's what I was wondering.  If you're using Nitro in spray cans, the normal waiting period before any kind of wet sanding or buffing out is at least 28 days or so.

    The best Strat

What it comes down to is you have to go for whatever "you" like.  It doesn't matter what other's opinions are.  What size radius, profile, nut width, hardware that works better for me won't work for others.  If I asked what size nut most prefer here, the majority are going to say 1- 11/16.  But...

Is a Humbucking Singlecoil wired/Soldered different from a humbucker?

The only real hard thing with replacing pickups is doing it without burning a few fingers.  Also be aware of where ALL the wires are when you are soldering.  My first few I did, I'd be paying so much attention to the end of the wire I was soldering, that I wouldn't notice the middle of the wire...

    Free Guitar Lessons

Very nice.  When I first saw your pic with your guitar I would have never pegged you as a blues player.  Never judge a book by it's cover huh?  Really like your music.  That Nocturnal song had a bit of a Eric Johnson tone to it.  Clicked you as a favorite to go back to.

Well, I guess after number 3, comes number 4,...................................

I'd go satin for the body to give it more of that raw wood look.  I have an Ibanez RG with strips of Cinnamon for the top and it's done up with a satin type of finish and I can't imagine it glossy.  If you're gonna be different with this one, might as well go all the way. :icon_thumright:

Guitar and Bass Combo Tube Amps on a Budget?

I'm kinda on the fence with mine.  I run my HB equiped guitars through a Vox Sacthurator into mine and as long as you can keep the volume up, it sounds great.  But lowering the volume with either the power switch or the watts control will make sustained notes kind of fuzzy.  But, I think it has...
