I have one of their LP kits still in the box. I bought it about a year ago, but other projects (acoustic builds) have pushed it aside.
The kit quality is outstanding. Materials and fit are really good. I can't vouch for the finished guitar, but if it goes badly, I can't say it would be the...
Thanks guys, I have my switch on order. Once it gets here, I'll solder it up and bolt on the neck.
It's going to be a fantastic guitar when it's all done, I can just feel it. :toothy10:
I've not worked with humbuckers before, and the 'parallel' diagram kinda confused me.
I don't have the pickup in front of me to check the leads.
The 'standard' diagram from their site looks pretty straightforward, but I was wondering if it would be possible to split these with a push/pull...
...wire up this single TVJones Classic Bridge with a Single Volume knob (no tone, no switches, etc.. just one vol. knob)?
I plan to use this simple wiring plan. I will also probably add a treble bleed kit to it, although the jury is still out on that...
Stewmac sells a neck-through neck.. just slap some 'wings' on it, and you are in flat-top heaven :p

Me, too. knowing nothing about floating guitar bridges, i thought this was going to be about 520 bridge :p Also, the fact that I work about a half a mile from it, probably helped me go there :P
So, I just got this email from Warmoth today. I have a feeling it's going to cost me a lot of money.
It seems they are offering a 30 day satisfaction guarantee on Chambered bodies. Buy it, bolt it on, string it up.. if you don't like it, return it...
That's just it.. i did eliminate the volume pot. I eliminated *everything* at some point.
I think at this point, I'm just going to pull everything off and build the pickguard up from scratch.
But not until I've had some fun doing other stuff (I finally finished a Bass project tonight...
Thanks Autobat, but don't worry about it.
Like I said, I have a set of these same pickups in an American Deluxe strat, that work perfectly. They are the reason I decided to put them in this new strat.
I finally gave up and decided to do something else with what was left of my weekend. I did...
Thanks for the input everyone.
I have to say that this has been the single most frustrating experience for me since I started working on my own guitars.
I have an American Deluxe Strat with this exact same set of pickups in it and it works beautifully. I took the pickguard out and layed...
Thanks for the replies!
I can't imagine I'm missing a ground connection. I'll double check when I get to the shop this afternoon. The switch body is definitely grounded ( I checked with the meter).
I think at this point either the switch or one of the pots is bad, and has a short to ground...
Thanks in advance for any assistance here.
I'm fairly new to the electronics side of things.
I purchased and installed a brand new set of Fender Vintage Noiseless pickups in a strat today.

Everything works...
