I noticed your combo of wood mounted pickups and roasted swamp ash. In order to get that to work, I needed to mount threaded inserts into the cavity instead of using wood screws. The wood screws kept binding and seizing when trying to install them.
They're EMGs and I had previously removed the height adjustment nuts since I originally planned to go with wood screws. Good call out that they might not work universally.
It's around the bridge pickup cavity. I found a really good matching touch up paint for the silver sparkle and before the final pics, I applied some StewMac clear on top. It's not really noticable from two feet away. Gonna clean and buff a couple times to see if I can get it just right.
Pleased that my first build is up and working! What started as a very straightforward build quickly turned into a frustrating lesson learned regarding wood mounting pickups.
