    Another nut question.

Thanks for all the help guys. Also good to know they slot their own. Hopefully it pulls with no issues this weekend and I can just shim.

    Another nut question.

Looking to fix the nut issue with my soloist this weekend (all wound slots were cut too low). IF I can the TSUQ nut out without breaking it...I plan on just shimming it up. I want to have another nut on hand just in case it cracks. Looking through the Graphtech page...I don't see any stock nuts...

    Removing installed Warmoth nut

So my 2nd hand rosewood neck has had the nut filed a bit low(Graph tech tsuq) on the low E and A causing non fixable setup issues. I need to decide to try and fill it or just replace it. How hard is it to remove a Warmoth installed nut? Assume I should at least try filling it 1st? Appreciate...

    Hipshot open gear tuners.

So I just want to give some props to the Hipshot tuners. I did the locking open gears with the non screw UMP kit. Had them installed in my new Warmoth neck in less than 10 minutes. I was very doubtful the plates would hold the tuners steady...but so far it's been perfect (been hitting the bar...

    Threaded insert shopping.

I actually ordered the EZ LOK 8-32 stainless "knife edge inserts" after watching a Youtube video. It seems more logical to me to use a tap though (should stop any worries about splitting the wood). Bit worried that the self tapping inserts and a roasted neck is not a good combo. Appreciate the...

    Threaded insert shopping.

Well it finally happened. I stripped a neck screw on my roasted maple neck  :( I don't want to to the dowel or toothpick/glue thing and want to try to install the inserts. Can somebody point me to an Amazon link to good hardware to use to do the inserts/bolts please? Looks like EZ lock would be...

New video: Aaron Breaks a AAA Roasted Flame Maple Neck

:party07:  :headbanging: ..NOOOO! I was not happy but I get it. Good work as usual.

    Gibson scale conversion neck.

Did this on the 1st one and slightly tapered down to low E on the others. E and B are fairly in the same spot on all of mine.

    Potentiometer question.

Did a 500/300 all wired for tone with a Little 59 neck, Texas special middle, Custom 5 and ran a resistor to taste for the middle (Tex. Special). Worked out great.

    Gibson scale conversion neck.

I have 3. One with a two bolt Fender trem..one 6 bolt narrow and one Floyd. Huge thanks to Warmoth for allowing me to have a Strat with a Wizard neck and Gibson scale (for way less than anything I could buy off the rack). No issues with any of them...low E is at max pull but its not causing any...

    RG body

I know a new body is a stretch...but I would love another choice aside from the soloist for a "strat" style body. I love the older 80's/90's rg550/570 style body (own 3). Would be amazing to bolt a Cbs/Wizard neck to an Ibanez inspired Warmoth body.

    Potentiometer question.

I think I need to read up on how the two pots interact with each other. I have always assumed they were like parallel resistors (ie. a 500k vol. and 500k tone pots were actually looking like 250k at the output to the pickup...250k & 250k =125k ect). Hence me thinking a 250k with no tone pot to...

    Potentiometer question.

Not "never" but it's not super important. When it's in bridge position it's usually for rocker tunes and I don't need any adjustments aside from volume. I spend more time on singles and yes I use the tone pot.

    Potentiometer question.

I am building a Soloist S.S.H. body right now with only two control holes (picked it up used). I hardly ever fuss with a tone knob on the bridge humbucker...so I was just going to run a single 250k tone control for the singles and skip the tone control on the humbucker. If I am going to run it...
