    Death metal strat

That crackle finish strat is the business man. Love it.

    Death metal strat

I had considred that initially, but I’m just not a fan of IRW necks. Even less so with wenge. I personally feel these dense, bright hardwoods have no place on a guitar....but they do look nice. Rosewood fretboards are as far in the right direction as you can get while still being wood. My last...

    Is this vintage tint?

Appreciate it guys. I’m guessing the pics of that particular neck just came out a bit dark. I’ve had several natural mahogany guitars, but like I said, that one is quite a bit darker than anything I’ve come across. I was considering just getting an IRW neck  as I’ve always loved that look...

    Korinablaster: HSH Black Korina Tele

Awesome build man. I’m hoping at least one of my girls is into guitar. Have a few years before any of that though. Relic’d one of mine in the meantime so they can mess with it a bit...still makes me cringe though haha.

    Is this vintage tint?

Right on thanks man. May just pay the up charge and specify a darker piece of mahogany on the neck. Found an example of vintage nitro on mahogany and it almost lightens it up...not sure why I didn’t think that.

    Is this vintage tint?

Warmoth has this listed as being “clear gloss nitro” but this is quite a bit darker than any mahogany I’ve seen. Anyone have experience with vintage tint on mahogany? I like this look and ordered vintage on mahogany, but I can still change that if I was wrong. Thanks dudes...

    Death metal strat

Well...there goes some money, haha. I’ve been wanting a strat for a while I’ve always loved the look, especially the new Friedman Cali guitars with the relic finishes. Anyways, the round fretboard just wasn’t something I could ever get comfortable with for the style of music I play - somewhere...

Finally going for my second build! - The.. Charvocaster?

I know that’s where I was at with it as well. From my experience you really can’t go wrong with brass in the bridge. I played MusicMan JPs for years and the big brass Trem block seemed to have a lot of thump to it. Also I’m not sure if we’ll even be able to get them too much longer I’ve never...

Finally going for my second build! - The.. Charvocaster?

Looks great. Reconsidering my death metal strat - the soloist body really looks great with the strat headstock. Tough call. Maybe just build two. Also, have you tried the 2tek before? I was thinking of taking a chance on one as well.

ISO luthier/tech for Warmoth assembly in Pacific NW

My bad Aaron, I should have clarified, but I was always planning on having to go to Seattle/Tacoma for this. There isn't anyone in PA or Sequim that offers this kind of work.  We have one little shop in PA that sells strings and stuff, but I haven't been there in years now. And between NB and...

ISO luthier/tech for Warmoth assembly in Pacific NW

What's up dudes. Looking for a luthier in the PNW area that can assemble a Warmoth build for me. I could do it myself, but have no experience with electronics really and would just rather pay to have it as perfect as can be.  Looked around here, but it seems the few guys that were in the Seattle...

    720 mod a must w/ hardtail??

Well I really appreciate your input here I feel a bit better about it for sure. Was routing the pocket yourself pretty tricky?

    720 mod a must w/ hardtail??

actually, the 0.175" bridge, hipshot headless, and hipshot traditional all have, more or less, the same maximum string height...so I'm at a loss as to what caused this issue for you Cagey.

    720 mod a must w/ hardtail??

Right I know that’s not what the 720 mod was designed to do and I know the purpose of angled neck pockets, but you started a thread all about how a hipshot 0.175” floor hardtail and a standard strat neck pocket depth had your strings laying on the frets, more or less. Here...

    720 mod a must w/ hardtail??

I’m thoroughly confused, but interestingly, my nickname was bison as a kid both because I’m gigantic and my name is Isan. That being said, that was more or less what I was thinking, how if this was a problem then why would they sell hardtail strat bodies without a disclaimer. however, other...
