Be careful with those drill attachments, you can burn through very easily. The actual polisher/buffers are a Dual Action Random Orbital and generally quite a bit slower RPM than a drill.
That's actually an interesting idea, I don't have anything with EMG's so that would be something new to try. I wonder if there would be room in the cavity for the battery ? It is on the smaller side.
Well I had a hard time getting the wipe on thick enough to sand and buff without burning through, so I experimented with the same tint in Minwax Polycrylic gloss. Used my good white china bristle brush to apply. 2 coats of color and 3 coats of clear. Torch to pop the bubbles. Light sanding...

Alder, with Super High Grade Quilt Lam Top. Neck is Mahogany and Ebony. That's why I had to go with the tinted nitro for the back and neck so they would match. I definitely prefer using the custom builder but these pre-announcement showcase deals that Aaron let us in on were to good to pass...
