I can’t wait to see that. Tigers eye is so intriguing, but I’ve been hesitant only because it seems to look pretty unique looking on each body so you never know exactly what you’re going to get.
I feel like when I read it the first time when they were released I read it as where each top was actually from but, when I read this, the names don't correlate to where each top is actually from. They're just unique local names assigned to the pieces. Is that right?
I used to live on the Big Island of Hawaii. There was tons of stuff made out of mango wood there. It's a very, very underrated wood IMO. Like your example shows, it can be stunning.
@aarontunes I would love to hear some info about these. Specifically, what does "acrylic infused" mean? I assume that's where the green, blue, purple colors come from?
Thank you!
Warmoth did a special run of these inlays about 10 years ago. I called in a couple of years ago was fortunate that they still had one laying around.
It just hit me that I have seen a pickup configuration like this before and it's the Shelton SkyFlite. The only difference being that there's an additional middle pickup. I'm guessing the bronze guitar was the inspiration for it.
Unexpected plot twist!
