Alot of listeners besides me, of this video's demos hear a difference btw the different fretboard woods.
While not everyone hears a difference, that doesn't mean it's not there. Not everyone has the same hearing sensivity and/or critical listening skills.
The takeaway is: there is no problem...
It's clear from my original post that I raised this concern in good faith, trying to help you in caseyou were unaware that a non-conversion 24.75" scale neck would have issues w the Warmoth bodies. Given my clear good intent, it's sad that you've chosen to go this gas-lighting route. But i see...
Then that is yes to my original question, i.e. you made a mistake in your original post when you described the neck as a 24.75" scale neck. You meant to write 24.75" conversion scale neck. I recommend updating that in your original post to avoid further confusion.
You described the neck's scale length as 24.75", not Gibson conversion scale? Is that accurate - did you mean to say that?
The reason I am asking, is I believe (and other forum members with more experience, please correct me if I am wrong), that Warmoth bodies are designed to support 25.5"...
Make a video going into details about the origins of the Mooncaster, how its built and its specs, and say you need to borrow the 339 to do that (and really, the 339 should be included in such a video).
By the way, I am still unclear about the Mooncaster: does it have a center block or no? And...
No corksniffing gripes from me, BUT anyone considering placing active pickups into a guitar like a Strat that doesn't have a battery box already installed, should realize that means having to loosen all the strings and remove the pickguard each time the battery needs replacing. That is a hassle...
Sharing my thoughts based on my experience with the Dimarzio Area as well as Dimarzio Dual Rail series of pickups in my Strat guitar.
Note that I am using 500k value pots, where a 0.022uf value cap is being used by both tone controls. The upper tone control is active in the circuit for pickup...
I finished listening to all the songs.
Dangerous Touch gets my vote. It's got that sort of sinister vibe i like in my hard rock, and its got a great hook. By the way, I really like the slinky guitar run you do near the end of the guitar solo. Something about it seems unique and cool.
I also...
Are we talking a 2 point style tremolo or a 6 screw style tremolo? I used to have a 6 screw style VegaTrem tremolo on my prs se custom 22 and in that particular scenario, the holes aligned without issue.
Great point @stratamania that active pickups aren't loaded down by their pots like passive pickups are, so there really shouldn't any discernible difference in volume if the pots are bypassed, to justify bothering to implement blower switch functionality on a guitar with active pickups...
MIGHT be feasible using a FOUR pole two way switch. such switches do exist. Dimarzio makes one. EP1111: https://www.dimarzio.com/hardware/switches/4pdt-pickup-selector-switch-3-position-ononon
Your guitar having individual Volume and Tone pots makes this unlikely to be feasible. Granted, this is my gut feel without me sitting down to formally try and figure out the wiring circuit for this, but the reason I say this is I think there's too many wire connections involved when you have...
Aaron,
Thanks for the insights about the drum production. It's really helpful to those of us that are competent on guitar, have original songs they want to self-produce, but are daunted about how to get good drums sounds without having to learn how to play drums (!). One last question in this...
