You are right, but copper foil is already inserted and soldered. The strat rout would hopefully solve this issue and fit. Well, doesnt matter, will try it anyway an order a Tele body with strat neck rout and Humbucker bridge rout... thx and greetings from europe!

Sorry to dig up this thread, but i have a similar question. The SD Hotrail fits very thight on my Tele-build, so i am thinking about a Single-Coil (Strat®-Style) neck-pickup rout for my next build. Its only a few mm wider, but thats exactly what i would need... body is rear-routed without...

So whats the point with the wider neck if string spacing is the same... Edit: Asking cause i would like to have a little more space. Different bridge? Vintage routing?
