Help me decide on a color for my Nashville Tele

Your teeth, mom's teeth, grandma's teeth. Grandma after she tried an at-home teeth whitening kit. The baby's tooth. Tom Cruise's teeth.

    Finishing a canary neck?

I posted this, but apparently didn’t have notifications on and promptly forgot to check for comments. Nice. I appreciate the comments though. I’m still thinking about a thin oil finish just to get everything to pop, but maybe that’s mostly for the fretboard and the back gets burnished.

No headstock fitting a flying V

That headstock looks pretty good to me. For your next build, consider a coping saw. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Husky-6-in-Coping-Saw-with-Wood-Handle-12228/204783720

    Finishing a canary neck?

It's a canary neck with a canary fretboard. It seems like an odd thing to have an unfinished neck, with the wood free to absorb grunge from one's hands - And that's with me being a little OCD about clean hands. I was thinking about either shellac or an oil varnish such as tru oil. But if I'm...

    Velocity/Musiclander and Scale Length

I posted images of a Jazzmaster (25.5") and Jaguar (24") superimposed in another thread recently, and they illustrate the difference in a Fender 25.5" body and 24" body. https://unofficialwarmoth.com/threads/warmoth-jaguar-jazz-master-bodies.39319/post-504869 If you look at the second image...

Why no active forums for used parts?

Well, the best solution would be to tell all your friends AND enemies to join this forum. More people means more ...people. In the forum. Buying and selling.

    Strat neck replacement

Is the fretboard extension resting on the pickguard? You definitely don’t want that to happen. You could consider shimming the neck or else getting shorter screws for the saddles as it looks a bit uncomfortable to rest your hand on the bridge. But that doesn’t have anything to do with action...

Custom pickguards for 24 fret extension?

First thought: Email Warmoth customer service and see if they can do a 24-fret-pickguard reposition as an off-menu option. Plan B: If the Bridge pickup is going to be the same type as the neck pickup, and if you have a router: Make a pickup template from a piece of 1/2” MDF. Attach the...

Warmoth Jaguar & Jazz Master Bodies

I believe these images originated from the Offset Guitars forum. Both are examples of Fender bodies. The first has the bodies aligned, and the second has the neck pocket aligned. Red is the Jag, blue the Jazzmaster. I'm not sure if Warmoth bodies differ slightly from Fenders.

    Aaron! New video series idea…

Why do bass guitars have four strings? The only need one string to go dudududududududu for four minutes.

Out of box, no tension, 0.53mm relief around 7th fret

You're probably fine with the side adjust. Your target is .2mm, or a smidgen less. It's not going to take much.

    New video: the Super Switch

I've got a couple Freeway switches, and I can't remember what the 5 alternate positions do. I know a bunch of them are series, but as for which pickups? No idea. I tend to use the alternate position 1 a bit as I like the sound. I'm pretty sure it's Bridge in series, but I don't know if it's...

Warmoth featured in Popular Mechanics Magazine!

Nah, this is the real toilet seat: https://i0.wp.com/blog.music-man.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/header.jpg?fit=1200%2C674&ssl=1

    New video: the Super Switch

The Schaller Megaswitch M has the same 4-pole-5-throw capabilities of a super switch, but it’s much thinner. Thinner than a regular 5-way, really, it’s a PCB with solder pads and doesn’t have any tabs sticking out. I just installed one in a Tele, works great. You’ve got to be a bit more...

Out of box, no tension, 0.53mm relief around 7th fret

Looks like your straightedge is resting on the frets on the left side, but not on the right side? Is that a Gibson scale neck?
