Burl Fusion Series - a KILLER limited run of Meadowhawks

I just read again what Aaron said. So they would only fit that specific neck with the scarf joint. I don't care for scarf joints, but the headstock shape is nice. And I don't like the bevled guitars that chop the top off like the Keisel Airies or Warmoth's copy of it, but that Meadowhawk body...

Burl Fusion Series - a KILLER limited run of Meadowhawks

Why aren't these bodies and necks (not the burl/resin tops), available in the builders?

Alder Body // color coat is cracking

Call it a "relic" and sell it for 600% more than it's worth. Then buy a new body and start over.

New video: Guitar Tone is All in Your Head!

All guitars and basses sound exactly the same. That's why everyone has just one.

Burl Fusion Series - a KILLER limited run of Meadowhawks

    I'd buy a 4 string, 34" scale bass Meadowhawk.

    Newbie Bass Fret Buzz Question

Check relief and string height. Don't go below 2mm. 2mm is good for slap, and 2.25 to 2.5 for finger style. You get more rasp on a bass and lose tone with super low action. And you have a heavy hand. Lighten your touch a bit, and practice alternate plucking with your fingers. Spend 30 to 60...

    Polyester cures in 12 hours...

It says his turn around time for UV curable polyester is 12 to 14 days. Nice. I'll try them on my next build, thanks. He has the big flake and does holo flake over other colors other than black. This one's silver holo flake. http://www.rowycokustoms.com/RK_gallery4.html And he has a...

The Hipshot Hardtail bridge & rout option now at Warmoth!

No, the op says "the builders" meaning all of them. And it's the same route as the Badass 3 bridge, they just changed the name in the builder, not the route. The Hipshot FM2 route fits the 3 hole string through Fender American Deluxe. I thought the visual would be there since it's the same...

    Pickguard screw holes

That's brilliant, thanks. What other secrets do you have?

The Hipshot Hardtail bridge & rout option now at Warmoth!

The Hipshot FM2 string thru replaced the Badass 3 string thru option in the bridge menu in the bass builders, but is not visually appearing on the bodies yet.

    Polyester cures in 12 hours...

Look at all the Warmoth bodies on the guitarpaintguys site. They look like they are helping out quite a bit. People really love their flake finishes. They use bigger flakes. They also have five different holo-flake finishes. http://www.guitarpaintguys.com/index.html

    Polyester cures in 12 hours...

I asked, and that's what they told me. Warmoth already uses polyester to fill, then polyurethane for the outer coat. Polyester is 96% solid. Polyeurethane is between 50 to 65% solid content. It never really dries. It scratches much easier, and is more flexable. Polyester is recommended...

    Polyester cures in 12 hours...

...and oil based polyurethane takes 30 days. I wonder if Warmoth would ever switch to the more durable, glossy, and just better in every way polyester to open up that bottleneck. I just ordered a bass body and was told I'd see it in 16 to 18 weeks. 4.5 months seems a little ridiculous.

Z bass body truss adjustment route

They emailed me with an answer. It's an off menu option. That would have sucked to have to take the neck off to adjust the truss rod. I wonder how many people that's happened to. Thanks Christian.

Z bass body truss adjustment route

I noticed in the showcase, and in the builder, that most bass bodies have a heel truss accessibility route for necks adjustable at the heel. And some, like the G4, G5, do not. And the Diamodbacks in the showcase don't, but do in the builder. I looked at every Z bass I could find online...
