Warmoth not an innovation leader anymore?

Oh, now I get it. Sorry for my misunderstanding. Well my English is not very good ;-) Yes I think as well that Jumble Jumble and you have summed it up great. Thanks to you both and all of the folks in the thread for your opinions and suggestions : )

Warmoth not an innovation leader anymore?

Maybe I was just emotional about my old beloved Volkswagen... ehm.. I mean Warmoth strat :) I will definitely look at what you've suggested. Thanks : ) If you look at it - many of them are trying very hard. But not under their brand names but some others. But to get to this high-class club is...

Warmoth not an innovation leader anymore?

Well, yes - in a nutshell you've described my situation pretty well. I'm aware about Volkswagen as well what Ferrari or McLaren can offer. But... when I first bought Warmoth - at that time it was Ferrari'ish to me. Why? Because all of the options I wanted and at that time nobody even most...

Warmoth not an innovation leader anymore?

Sounds to me like Warmoth is risking a bit with this. What if this machine goes wrong? I know every big production is very dependent on the machines/people and some other conditions. But from my little experience in factory production - it is never good not to have any backup.

Warmoth not an innovation leader anymore?

Couldn't agree more on this! ;-) And here is where I'm not so sure. I mean does Warmoth know exactly how many potential customers they have lost by not offering some (mentioned or any other) options? I think that even the biggest and richest companies have only rough estimates at best and they...

Warmoth not an innovation leader anymore?

Ok. Fair enough - but then I want to hear such argument from Warmoth - to tell me: sir, we've tested this many many times and 99% of clients be it pros or amateurs didn't like it at all. Their website is full of describtion and arguments why they do this and that so why wouldn't they tell this...

Warmoth not an innovation leader anymore?

Well, I understand the concept of having positive discussion, not blaming anyone and suggesting things rather than complaining. But, I don't think I started a negative discussion in a way I would be throwing dirt against Warmoth or anybody else. Many times I stated how great Warmoth is and how I...

Warmoth not an innovation leader anymore?

True. I never wrote anything against this statement. Designing great looking cars for example is very noble thing. But the discussion was rather how to make the engine rev more and how to squeeze even more HP out of it and how to make it even more gripier in the corners. But I hope that...

Warmoth not an innovation leader anymore?

Thanks for great points. I would love to meet Juha as well. The more I'm doing reasearch about their guitars the more I'm interested in them and in meeting the man behind them. Must have been geat experience talking to man like this. :-) Yes, innovation is a buzzword. Tell me about it :-) I...

Warmoth not an innovation leader anymore?

Well, please, read it trough once more please. I wrote many times that I love my Warmoth strat and I appreciate very much what they've done and are doing now. I also mentioned the new body shapes as well and I never wrote it is something wrong or not good.

Warmoth not an innovation leader anymore?

I would not agree that innovation does not happen every day. Yes, breaktroughs do not happen every day. But innovation yes. Every half a year you can see NAMM or Musikmesse full of improved stuff. Which took months or years of everyday improving. Which is innovation process. Each time you do...

Warmoth not an innovation leader anymore?

Thank you very much for your response. I appreciate it very much. Just few comments. When you are doing your first mousetrap - and you see many makers are already doing it - I think you better do something different in the world of mousetraps. Something that would stand out. I guess that is how...

Warmoth not an innovation leader anymore?

Hello all, Thank you all for interesting points and thoughts. Honestly. Let me ask you two simple questions... Why did Warmoth introduce compound radius? Do you think that it was done because huge number of people asked to have this feature? I see innovation as two way process. It brings...

Warmoth not an innovation leader anymore?

Yes. And so does it mean that they should stop trying? Mercedes invests around 1 milion € into R&D a DAY. And I'm sure that they didn't become that rich by not doing this (maybe not at such high scale money-wise) before and that they were standing still and somehow they suddenly come up with...
