I have 2 Crate "Vintage Club" 20-watt amps with one 10" speaker in each.  I've had them for about 15 years or so, and they have yet to cause me any trouble.  They're great for when you want (as Rory Gallagher once put it) a small amp really hopping off the chair instead of a big amp just ticking...

If memory serves me right, in his 1980 Guitar Player interview he also mentioned that he was using an MXR Phase 100 along with the ADA.  Anyone got that issue lying around anywhere so we can check?  :icon_scratch:

My suggestion is to go for the minibuckers.  I just purchased a set of the GFS Mini-Birds, will let you know how they sound once I get things wired up.  Would have gone whole-hog with Bare Knuckle or Genesis, but budget won't allow @ present (plus, I don't think BKP are doing minihumbuckers any...

If you have ever seen the "Emerald" version of the Les Paul Gem series (essentially a Les Paul Studio with P-90's, IIRC), then that's what the trans green on a mahogany body looks like --- not brownish, but a green so deep that it borders on black, but with some of the figure of the wood still...
