    New member. First Warmoth build.

Hey! I’m a couple of weeks behind you on a similar build (top route, SSS, black pick guard and black tuners but a gold body hardware) and I just noticed we’re in the same neck of the woods! (SC) Absolutely beautiful work so far, that backplate work and color match is top notch! Look forward to...

    The Strat of Theseus build

Three coats in on the body, went over it with 600 grit between the second and third coat. I’ve got three dark spots where I didn’t catch runs on the first pass. (Seen on the belly cut which I’m really not sure how those got so dark as I thought I caught them right away, and the inside of the...

Oh, for sure, it’s a beautiful neck and the grain is going to blend with the body really well. Heck every type of wood can be beautiful if you get the right piece. I just meant something like flame tends to be a little more “flashy”, not necessarily more or less beautiful.

It’s came!! Obviously the neck isn’t as striking as something like flame maple, but I’m very happy with the grain on this and I LOVE the grain in the skunk stripe. The body was a showcase so I knew I liked the grain on that already. And after a first coat of Truoil: I’ll probably just do...

THE PARTS HAVE SHIPPED!! I managed to not get too hyped up counting down days but I was certainly counting down weeks until I would start expecting a shipping update, and I certainly hadn’t expected one yet, so that’s a nice surprise. Already have the tru-oil waiting for it.

    Extra Light Body

This is an important note. Hardness within a species is related to density, and weight is inversely related to density. How those scales relate to other species isn’t necessarily easy to gauge, but definitely expect a lighter piece to dent more easily than a heavy one. Also, ultimately, if you...

Pure class! Quilted Green Vai/May Red Special

I mean, does it have to make sense? The guy decided he wanted his own version of the Red Special and has the money and pull to make it happen.

Turtle inlays are now a standard option!

The amount of time I stared at them on the visualizer before committing to no inlays was… exorbitant. 😂

Oh, so Steve Vai can get EVO Gold frets but I can’t? 😂

Shopping cart is full. Just have to deposit some cash in the bank to place the order tomorrow. Went back and forth and side to side on the neck, actually landed on one piece roasted maple with no inlays but MOP side dots. 🤘🏼

I will not let Aaron tempt me into putting turtle inlays on my neck I will not let Aaron tempt me into putting turtle inlays on my neck I will not let Aaron tempt me into putting turtle inlays on my neck I will not let Aaron tempt me into putting turtle inlays on my neck…

    The Strat of Theseus build

After the holidays I am unexpectedly close to being able to afford the neck and body. I’ve been constantly considering options for the neck and changing my mind over the months and I think I’m going to forgo the Clapton profile and Rosewood board for a standard C, 10”-16” compound, roasted...

    Gold Fret Wire?

Crushing dreams with jams… it still hurts, but at least it sounds good.

    Gold Fret Wire?

Well that stinks, but it’s understandable that a company wouldn’t continue producing an alloy that has such a limited use case.
