Charvel boat Jack in placement on a replacement strat body?

    Electrosocket is certainly a contender.

Charvel boat Jack in placement on a replacement strat body?

Yeah, I’ll be chewing it over as I save up, like I said, it’s not really about solving a particular problem, more about deciding if I like it enough to warrant any headaches of doing it. 😂 Definitely no intentions to sell, so no worries there.

Charvel boat Jack in placement on a replacement strat body?

Yeah, I’m not as big on that design, no particular reason just doesn’t draw me too it. I know some people really like them on the back.

Charvel boat Jack in placement on a replacement strat body?

For me the draw for doing it this way is more because it’s a little different than for any particular functionality. I don’t currently have any 90 degree cables (mine got lost a couple years back) but I used to do that with my bass all the time, so I’m not *opposed* to the regular side mount...

I was curious about the bend situation. I’ll keep it on the back burner for now, got plenty of time before I have to lock in the build anyway.

Output jack location has been a hang up for me on my build and I’m curious if Warmoth can/would do a boat jack route like the Charvel Guthrie Govan signature? The first time I saw it I kinda fell in love with it.

Here's that burnishing video I teased a couple weeks ago....

I would think the primary advantage is speed. At that level of grit I don’t know how much of a risk tearing is. The more open grain wood would be more at risk, maybe start the lower grits with the grain and switch to the faster cross grain with the higher grits that benefit from more speed?

    The One(s) That Got Away

The only musical thing I “let get away” was an old SWR Henry the 8x8 that was my first Bass cab. I traded it for a 4x10 cab. Sonically, no regrets. Space and weight wise, no regrets. But there’s still part of me that kinda wishes I still had that old 8x8 if only for the name. 😂

    New Pick Day!

I was tempted to get some wood ones just for the heck of it, but I decided to keep the trip under $5. Will probably get one at some point, if nothing else to complement the metal pick I have (which I genuinely have no idea how I got). The 206 has grown on me quite a bit, gave it a good 45...

    New Pick Day!

Stopped by the local music shop and picked up a few different picks to try on electric since I’ve been surviving on my .73mm max grips that I use for acoustic for waaaaay too long. So far the Jazz III max grip is the leader, just felt so good when I played. The 206 is intriguing, not...
