    Wenge Fretboard

I owned an Ibanez MSM1 (Marco Sfogli) for a couple of years.  It had a Wenge neck (with bubinga strips) and a wenge fingerboard.  I've parted ways with most of my brand name guitars now that I'm building with Warmoth parts, but I really liked the Wenge for its look, sound, and feel.  It's...

Any experience with tone Ninja tuners

LOL BroccoliRob, yes - thanks for that!  ...but if I really have an Epoch waiting, please shoot me if I plan to use it just to go back and prevent that purchase... FWIW, this thread prompted me to get out the Ninja Tuners.  Maybe not quite as bad as I said above.  This time I put them on an...

Any experience with tone Ninja tuners

I bought a set of Tone Ninja locking tuners from SportHiTech out of curiosity.  Specs seemed really good - 19:1, staggered etc. Disappointing overall quality though - heavy, less smooth, too much play, even after tightening screws.  They just don't seem well machined.  They are now sitting in...

    New Warmoth Site Bug Megathread

Hmm... There are other models that are rear-route-only and don't have $20 added to the price of the core wood.  There are also some that have $30 added to the price of the core wood.  I doubt the cost of the cover and screws has much to do with it.  More likely it has to do with adjustments...

    New Warmoth Site Bug Megathread

They look the same to me.  That said, I've noticed that for the Soloist, they are all $20 more than for Strats and Teles.  But I think it's been that way... See attachments:

    Satin transparent finishes

I did my latest Warmoth Tele build in satin transparent red over mahogany.  I love it - the quality of the satin finish is better than I had expected and I wouldn't hesitate to go satin again.

finish for VIP with quilt maple

I have to agree.  That is stunning.  It would look fantastic with gold hardware (and I think it would pop more than the one I posted above). Attaching fire burst image here (from the twitter link).

    Current Warmoth lead times?

Ordered a showcase neck on 9/20 - fretting, nut install, and tuner ream adjust (it's roasted maple, so no finish).  Shipped 9/27.  That's only 5 business days, right on for "In Stock Body or Neck" without the adjustment for sustained high volume.  Thrilled again!

finish for VIP with quilt maple

Color choice is entirely subjective, but in my mind, gold is warm and goes best with other warm colors (red, orange, yellow, brown). https://www.unofficialwarmoth.com/index.php?topic=31437.0 FWIW, that blue fade looks amazing, but I'd want chrome hardware in that case.

    New Warmoth Site Bug Megathread

Hi WindsurfMaui, If you are on a laptop or desktop (so you have a keyboard), using key combinations CTRL +, CTRL - and CTRL 0 (zero) can help.  The first increases size, the second decreases size and the third resets it to the default size. ============================== To me, the specs...

    New Warmoth Site Bug Megathread

Hmm... I'm not seeing red letters.  I noticed the site uses static external CSS files though, which means visitors might be caching old style sheets.  Just in case, it may be worth reloading the styles: https://warmoth.com/skin/frontend/universal/warmoth/css/styles.css (refresh).

    New Warmoth Site Bug Megathread

Some category pages don't seem to be showing everything in stock. For example, at the moment, the "Vortex Necks" category page is empty, but search reveals two Vortex necks in stock. https://warmoth.com/guitar-necks/vortex vs https://warmoth.com/catalogsearch/result/?cat=0&q=vortex+guitar+neck...

    Current Warmoth lead times?

Ordered a showcase body on August 12 that only needed a finish.  It arrived Sept. 22 (New York).  That's ~ 6 weeks, slightly longer than the published lead time of 4-5 weeks, and if you take out the 6 days in shipping, it's pretty darn close.  Definitely pleased!

    New Warmoth Site Bug Megathread

There is an issue with the the default sort order (for any category).  Although "Newest" is selected, the items are not in order of newest to oldest.  One must first sort by something else (i.e. price), then sort again by Newest.  Note that once you've done this, the site will remember the...

I saw that briefly too.  I believe it was resolved not long after it showed up.
