It does make me curious about what other things are kicking about at Warmoth HQ. I always want to know about off-menu items, but it's one of those blind exercises where you won't get yes for an answer until you ask the right question.
The man literally called it a "Killer New Six-string" body in the first couple of minutes, and then asks us to guess what KNS stands for. For shame, Aaron. For shame.
Jokes aside, congrats on the release, I absolutely love it when bass bodies get translated to guitars.
I'm so jealous I might throw up. Looking forward to seeing what comes of this. Are you going with conventional Rickenbacker electronics, but with a unique neck?
Love the mismatched headstocks. Rick's has a fiesta red headstock (eyes are trained to spot them from a mile away), so I suspect it was taken from that 60th Anniversary Limited Edition Jazzmaster that Fender put out a while back.
Only slightly off topic, but I noticed you also had a blonde Dinkycaster build on the bench around the same time you posted a preview of this. Definitely curious about the theme of the video, if you plan on making one. Wondering if it's a showcase of all the brand new options that came out in...
Just writing here to lament the fact that I couldn't get my hands on this (on account of not being in the US).
For those of you that got the gloss version of the set, how did it turn out? Got any videos or pictures?
I know the general mode of operation is to fill the showcase with things that are sure-sellers, but my favorite is always the stuff that makes some kind of reference. I saw a satin shell pink mooncaster body with black binding in the showcase for ages and it was clearly a reference to Tom...
I remember that in Aaron's retrospective, he mentioned that Warmoth once made parts for Gibson, but the other shoe finally dropped when I remembered that Valley Arts was bought by Gibson in 2002. I saw a post somewhere that mentioned that Warmoth continued making parts for Valley Arts until...
Not to necro this thread, but is this site down for anyone else? I use it on a daily basis because it's such a convenient way of seeing what the newest additions are as and when they get put up.
This begs the question: what was the most expensive Warmoth part ever sold (adjusted for inflation)? I imagine the Burl Fusion series has to come close.
I think my crime here might be just completely blanking on the reference because I love this movie. Wasn't a childhood movie, I'll admit, but I watched it probably around the time I was in college purely out of curiosity (mostly because any time Andre would come up, someone on the internet would...
The worst part of being a cultural inbetweener is knowing when a reference is being made, but not exactly knowing what the reference is. Drop more hints, maybe I'll learn something along the way!
