I've bought a roasted flame maple neck with default inlays/site dots, which are black. The builder allows you to choose color of inlays/site dots, but warns about visibility. Not wanting them to be hard to see I went with default black, but it turns out that in reality black dots on roasted...

I wonder which woods can be used to construct a one piece neck ? Obviously Maple and Roasted Maple, but I haven't seen any with Flame Maple. I've also seen Rosewood, Ebony and Pau Ferro. Any more ?

Well that particular one is sold, and I'm not sure of what the unfinished pattern looked like. These are unfinished strat alder bodies, I have no idea which would look like the one I posted. Maybe someone more experienced can chime in...
