The width on my Modulus is 1.85'', which is pretty damn skinny.... IMHO the THICKNESS of the neck has more to do with comfort than nut width. You might be able to swing a thinner width, but just keep in mind that the thinner the nut is, the more the neck has to taper to accommodate a decent...

Thanks for the tip! I'm a big fan of the Hipshot stuff... I need to have spacing adjustment... I have this one spread to the max.... So my fan-boy self is hoping I can replace the ABM (and all of it's metric evils) with a type 'A'.... I can dream, right?

I think you may be right.... But man, those guys put him through some s***.... I'm thinking he's still got a sore spot there.... Metallica treats the guy like crap for over a decade, fires him, THEN decides to act like humans and wind up getting a new guy... That might give me a twitch too.....

I've found EMG's to be like any other pickup... Available in different flavors..... I had a 40DC in my Modulus for years, and swapped it out with a 40TW, which has the "ceramic" magnets.... Quite warm sounding to my ears, which for an instrument with a graphite neck is saying a LOT.... That...

I have a Medium neck/body, and would say that it's all the room you'll need... It gives you 19mm spacing, and a big fat neck.... The Wide neck is REALLY wide, and probably only for those who have NO control of their thumb..... Probably quite thick as well, but that's my guess.... P/U spacing is...

I thought the Robot was a great idea..... Not as good as a graphite neck... But I digress.... :evil4:

Not a concern for my blaspheming self... I'm concocting a Warmoth/Moses build... So a non neck plate would be preferable...

Is there an option to have neck bolt ferrules, like a Gecko (and every premium bass that doesn't say F*****), on other bodies? I don't really care for neck plates (sorry), and would of course expect up-charge for routing, the ferrules themselves, different bolts, etc.
