    Body guide hole

I'm about to order a Precision body that's going to hold a couple of soapbars and I'm not sure yet if I'd go for the standard neck and bridge locations or that I route the cavities myself with the option of customizing the exact location of the route. I've done a fair share of routing in the...

My favorite Neo-Nazi band so far this week!

The moment that I saw it was a Rammstein video I just knew it was harmless. It's all tongue in cheek.

    Second mic?

The 421 is a great mic. I used to own a dozen mics but sold most of them since I haven't recorded anything in years. But I kept my pair of 421's (and a 441) just in case I ever start recording again.

    Second mic?

An decent LDC is definitely nice to have. BUT! I wouldn't go that route unless you have a room that's decently treated and soundproofed. LDC's are in general incredibly sensitive and will pick up more than you wish for if you don't have a proper room. If that's the case I'd rather look for a...

EU: Warmoth Korina Soloist body NEW

Please, again. This is an EU offer. Which makes total sense by the way since UW has quite a few european members. You really shouldn't compare prices one on one with what's in the showcase. You have to add a lot of extra dough in shipping and taxes before it hits Europe so other rules apply...

    Anyone speak Dutch?

Awesome. If you ever come and tour Belgium, who knows, I may even come and watch. Antwerp is only an hour away. On a side note: As a rule I try to limit comments in dutch to an absolute minimum. I take pride in people not noticing that english isn't my first language. :-) That may not always...

    Calling all Bass Players....HELP

Excellent advice. My main axe has a Squier body and a Warmoth neck too. And 4 or 5 strings? I've played bass for 19 years now. Started on 4, switched to 5 after a few years but two years or so ago I went back to mainly 4, just because it feels better to me. It's all about preference.

new curious poll, guitarists you have met?

A couple of years ago I litterally bumped into Jan Akkerman in a music store (voted best guitarist in the world by UK magazine Melody Maker before I was even born).

What do you do for a living?

I voted Engineer/Architect. I work in IT as a systems engineer. Being hired for periods of usually 1-9 months I've seen a lot of different companies from the inside the last 10 years. Government, research, education, senior care, advertising, car industry, pharmaceutical industry, law. While...

Happy Good Riddance Day - Dec 28

I feel like I've gained 25lbs this year (not sure, I haven't dared to touch the scale for months) but that's another thing. Something to deal with in 2012. Good riddance to bandlife. I quit my band a couple of weeks ago and while the other members are wonderful people, we weren't on the same...

Received the biggest suprise of my life today!

That's awesome! Congrats to all of you. My daughter is 5 months old now. I remember very well checking if she was indeed a girl right after she popped out. During the ultrasound they said more or less: "It's a girl, I think. Yes, I'm pretty sure" which didn't sound very convincing and we only...

Where to get a 3/4" jack?

I see you're from Germany. A good place to start for your parts then is www.banzaimusic.com. They're based in Germany. I've used them a couple of times (I'm in The Netherlands). Once I emailed them about a part that didn't appear to be stocked by any european reseller but they were able to get...
