I hate to be the odd man out here, but I've had bad opinions of the few cases I've seen from Guitar Fetish.  They were poorly built and poor fitting.  One was a Jazzmaster type and one a Strat; both for friends' guitars.  The hinges broke on the Strat case within a week, and the JM never fit...

Haha, the other day, I went to buy one of the last Firebird necks, and it disappeared while I was adding options.  I chose another neck, same thing.  I guess it wasn't meant to be. -Mark

I wouldn't say insane...  hahaha I've never dreamed about Warmoth, but I have dreamed quite a bit about breaking strings and not having a backup guitar.  When I go to change strings, everything goes wrong and takes forever.  Maybe that's why I mod my own guitars; so I know exactly how it works...

I had an issue with my last W body that involved a chunk of wood being lodged in the wiring channel.  It was too deep to easily get at with regular drill bit, so I ended up knocking it out with all sorts of pointy and blunt objects.  I wasn't pleased, but it was just one more thing with that...

You're probably overreacting, but not unreasonably so.  W seems to be clearly making the distinction that they're not into customer service so much as just selling parts.  Oh well, they're still great parts, haha.  This thread makes clear who's reasonable and who's a fanboi, however.  ;)...

That's where I'm at. I have two Sennheiser setups (in my bass rack and under my guitar pedalboard), and I rarely use them.  If it's an amazing venue, I'll set it up so I can be a cheeseball, but I go so far as to take the batteries out after use.  I keep a foam-lined box that holds 8 AAs glued...
