SSS is out of question for a sound like that, and HSS isn't such a great idea either. In my opinion strats with just two humbuckers look great! Keep in mind that body and neck wood play a huge part in sound.

I've never been a fan of Music Man's, that has a pretty nice finish on it. The clear pickguard is awesome.  :guitarplayer2:

Stop routing the top routed showcase strats for SSS!!! It's annoying going through the showcase looking for something other than SSS, routing all the bodies HSH or universal would be a better idea, in my opinion.
