    Squier Sonic Stratocaster Compatibility

BTW, Warmoth CS responded. They said that Fender and Squier use different specs so they can’t make any guarantees. This pretty much makes it a non-starter for me. Without a doubt Warmoth bodies are better but they don't offer the color I want and I also really don’t want to wait that long...

    Squier Sonic Stratocaster Compatibility

Not yet. In the past talking to a person there has been a little difficult. I was wondering if anyone here happened to know.

    Squier Sonic Stratocaster Compatibility

I’m thinking about a Strat build using the body from a Squier Sonic Stratocaster https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/StratSnUV--squier-sonic-stratocaster-electric-guitar-ultraviolet I have two questions. 1) Will a Warmoth Strat neck fit this body? I can’t find the specs anywhere on the...

    Quilt Top Tele Build

Finally got the guitar from my tech today. While he was intonating it last week the pre-amp for the Fishman Tele set blew up. He heard a loud hissing and popping noise, then no sound. Fishman quickly sent out a replacement which he installed today and finished the setup. Holy crap! It plays...

    Quilt Top Tele Build

Thanks! The neck is Gibson scale conversion, plain roasted maple, 1 5/8" nut, Wolfgang Carve, 6100 stainless frets, with the Earvana (compensated) nut, with abalone dot inlays. I thought about doing a flame maple neck but in the end, I thought it would too much "bling" with the body. Now that...

    Quilt Top Tele Build

No idea, I’ve never seen or held one in person. The control plate contains the switch, pots, pre-amp, pickup mode toggle, and battery all in one drop-in unit.

    Quilt Top Tele Build

N The big black thing is the rechargeable battery for the Fluence Greg Koch Tele set. There’s a micro USB plug integrated into the output jack for charging.

    Quilt Top Tele Build

PSA: The control cavity required a little routing to fit the battery on the control plate. This is a Warmoth standard Tele route so if you’re going this route just know you can’t just drop it in. Also, I’m not doing the work. It’s being put together by Chris at Flippin’ Guitars in Haymarket...

    Quilt Top Tele Build

Ordered through a local shop. They give really good discounts. I’ve ordered before and it didn’t take long. It’s just bad timing.

    Quilt Top Tele Build

Still waiting on parts from Hipshot — chrome bridge and locking tuners. They said they’re “behind on production”. Ordered in late October, just a friendly PSA in case you were thinking of ordering.

    Quilt Top Tele Build

Body came in today. It totally has exceeded my expectations! That quilt is just crazy. Not the greatest pics, but you get the idea.

    Quilt Top Tele Build

Hopefully yours comes soon. I think it’s quicker because it’s a dye and not paint. My understanding is they are way behind on paint.

    Quilt Top Tele Build

Just got notice that my Tele body is finished and out for delivery. I ordered August 2nd and was told I’d be lucky to get it by Christmas. I was really surprised to see the email. Specs: Modern Tele Chambered Roasted Swamp Ash Quilted Maple Top (see pics) Purple Dye with natural masked edges...

    80s Super Strat Build

Here's the finished product!  I'm loving pretty much everything about it.  Stays in tune great, the Fishman Classics sound really good.  The neck carve might take a little getting used to, but it'll definitely grow on me. On to the next build!

    80s Super Strat Build

The build is coming together nicely!  All that's left is to install are a few odd and ends, the Floyd, and then a setup. The 3-way switch and volume knob are placed similar to a Music Man JP6 and required a little routing of the control cavity for the switch.  The two 3-way mini toggles allow...

Confusion about back color options with dye

I really like the purple burst!  The body I’m looking at is roasted swamp ash and I want to see the color of the wood so I’m thinking I’ll go with clear back.  Thanks for the help.
