    Wood horror stories?

My horror stories are just tooling-related as I still consider myself an amateur. I don't want to get up into the exotic (and therefore, more expensive) species until I get more practice in on the common species -- maple, mahogany, basswood, alder, of course. If I screw those up, they're at...

    7-string paddle?

I haven't seen anyone who posts regularly here talk recently about 7s, let alone customizing a 7 neck. I'm working on my 3rd paddle neck, but those have all been 6ers. I don't play 7s; had one once, but sold it as it wasn't getting any use and I just couldn't get used to the string spacing (it...

Are there plans to update the Color Choices page on the website or the Color Catalog PDF?

"Milky Black with Dead Fish Eyes" sounds like a new death metal track.

Baritone Meadowhawk - help on future building

Here's my build thread: https://unofficialwarmoth.com/threads/wm-baritone-neck-w-custom-body.40394/ Last time I saw Savatage was in 2001 on the final "Poets & Madmen" tour when Damond Jiniya and Jack Frost were in the band. Otherwise, it's been all TSO (and I was fortunate to see TSO before...

WM Baritone Neck w/ Custom Body

It's been very difficult to remember the Bob Ross method throughout this project.

WM Baritone Neck w/ Custom Body

To match the body, I applied the same proportionate mix of green dye to the surface. And this is where I've stopped. I might have time to work on it next week when I'm back up here. I have to go home to go back to work for a few days this coming week.

WM Baritone Neck w/ Custom Body

And sure enough, because of my daughter's separation anxiety, she's had to come down to the workshop every single time I'm downstairs. A fraction of a second of distraction and I got a bad tear out. :( The impact broke off that one point, which, thankfully, I found. I also found a few...

WM Baritone Neck w/ Custom Body

I don't remember if I posted about the body that I started almost a year and a half ago, but the baritone neck that I know I posted about recently is going on it. I started on it last March and as of December of '24, this is what it looks like: Mahogany body, quilt maple veneer, white...

Baritone Meadowhawk - help on future building

I'm working on a baritone myself right now. Also, cool screen name! I can't wait for them to consider touring the USA again.

    Purchased This for Tuner Holes

I probably should use one, but I always just use the tuner itself as the guide. "Test in production on the live server? Absolutely."

    New Arrival: Eye of Baritone

Another nice bonus of a Warmoth shipment during the summer: an empty box and biodegradable packing peanuts can capture the attention of a very bored 11-year-old! It's 94°F (34°C) with a perceived temp of 107°F (41°C), so there's no playing outside today.

    New Arrival: Eye of Baritone

I just noticed this tiny little bird's-eye inclusion near the scarf joint. I thought it was a dent at first, but it's perfectly smooth to the touch. And as I'm examining the rest of the maple, there are other little unique characteristics that are jumping into view. I love it!

    New Arrival: Eye of Baritone

Working on refining a 2x4 layout I tried on a previous project. I focused so strongly on trying to get the string path straight that the overall shape ended up looking too small for the rest of the guitar, like the shrunken-head ghost from "Beetlejuice." :ROFLMAO: Now here's hoping I don't...
