Thanks for the input guys, I've contacted them via email but I've also just kind of deduced that the TV Jones pickup should be able to fit in a regular humbucker cavity since TV Jones offers this particular product...
Yeah Warmoth's Strat-Tele Hybrid pickguard with the TV Jones cut in the neck. I guess what I'm asking is, for the neck pickup routing is the humbucker rout and the TV Jones rout both done in the same exact spot on the body? If yes then I should have no problem getting the larger sized humbucker...
For the neck pickup rout of a strat-tele hybrid body w/ pickguard, is it okay to get the humbucker rout for the neck even if I plan to put a (smaller) TV Jones pickup in the neck? Because at some point I may want to put a full size Gibson style humbucker in the neck and I want to make sure the...
I'm having fun with this new build making sure that all of the hardware is nickel-plated and all that. For the Warmoth contoured heel I got a hold of some nickel-plated screws that are #8 1-1/2" and #8 1-3/4". These are the proper gauge and lengths for Warmoth's contoured body heel.
But are...
If it were me anyway if my neck showed up that way I wouldn't be able to tolerate it - import or not. Any return shipping charges for exchange purposes should fall on the company who messed up so I wouldn't even dream of being the one paying to have that returned - and return it I would. If...
Yeah the dots are definitely that turquoise blue but they seem to work on Rick2's guitar. You can see on his the different shades but they seem to complement each other. Definitely sticking w/ Seafoam though.
I'm with Warmoth because of the Baritone neck. Over 10 years ago I built a Warmoth baritone strat, and while Warmoth has since made side truss rod adjustment available on their other necks, the baritone neck today still requires removal from body to access the heel truss rod.
Your baritone neck...
I was all fine and set to just get my usual abalone dots, but then I saw rick2's guitar.. (reply #6) https://www.unofficialwarmoth.com/index.php?topic=32950.0
.. with the Arizona turquoise dots and I'm trying to determine how well the turquoise would match with seafoam green strat body...
That's an awesome guitar Rick, you got the tiIt back *reverse* strat headstock w/ no trees needed and looks like vintage tint! My build will be very similar in color and as I'm doing *all* nickel hardware I even managed to source a Gotoh 510 trem in a nickel-plated finish which is very rare in...
I have the thin profile neck on the W bari I made about 10 years ago. Birds eye maple neck rosewood board and SS frets done by Mike Lull (RIP). Honestly it's held up fine and really I haven't had to take the neck off *that* much in 10 years to adjust the truss rod - just hate when I do. This...
Cool I'm building something similar except Strat hybrid body. I built a Warmoth baritone years ago and the only thing I wish they'd do is make the truss rod adjustment available at the headstock because as it stands you still need to take off the neck to adjust the truss rod on Warmoth's...
Thanks everyone for all the input. I understand now. This Warmoth strat-tele hybrid build I'm planning is my second shot at a dream baritone. The first dream Warmoth baritone I built years ago had me learn a couple things *not* to do this time around - namely the reverse headstock I got on the...
Thanks Dieter. So for example this jack here says a 3/8" mounting hole is required but you're saying it'll still work on the 7/8 mount? Maybe they mean the jack requires a *minimum* mount hole of 3/8"...
Thanks guys. Does anyone know which jack I'd need to fit the 7/8" mounting hole to go with the football plate? It seems most jacks require a 3/8" hole or something else, but I'm confused as to which jack will actually fit the 7/8" as when I research it that electro socket is about all that keeps...
For the strat-tele hybrid body Warmoth only offers the 7/8" side jack. I'm confused as to what my options are for a jack and jack plate. I don't want to use the electro socket jack as I use a right-angle guitar cable which I've read will not work w/ that jack as it's too recessed for the plug to...
Yeah I think the shank on those is too long. I know some guys here use stainless steel screws, I wonder if those would look good with a nickel plate :icon_scratch:
Probably a dumb question, but is there anything wrong with using shank screws like these for the neck w/ contoured heel (they have 1-3/4" too)? https://www.blacksmithbolt.com/store/p/706-8-X-1-1/2-Phillips-Oval-Head-Wood-Screws-Nickel.aspx
What I've read about wood screws with shanks compared...
