Amber Dye finish with masked binding

I just got my 7/8 Strat with satin amber dye + natural masked binding today, so I thought I'd share!

    VIP + Rubato neck build

The body arrived today! I'm really pleased with the way it looks. I'll be lightly painting the neck pocket black since there's enough overlap that it's visible with the neck in place. Probably with a black Colortone marker, and maybe a quick utilitarian coat of wipe-on satin poly to make the...

Warmoth Strat build found on craigslist

Reminds me of an apple with bites taken out of it. 😋

    T-LP, LP-T? Yes!

I've pondered nearly this exact combo many times except with a Hombre neck. I think I'm going to have a hard time resisting now. The 6 inline actually is shockingly awesome looking though.

Closed: HH - strat like neck pickup

Your post seems to indicate you’re looking for one humbucker for the neck position. Fralin and Lollar pickups are around $150-200 new each and I’ve snagged some for as low as $120 used. Sure, still fairly expensive, but I have no idea where you’re getting $600 from.

    VIP + Rubato neck build

I ordered a new custom VIP body + hardware yesterday and I'm pretty excited. I have a Rubato neck and have been needing an excuse to find a great body to go with it. The Rubato neck is very interesting and I'm really excited to try it. Carbon fiber shaft, richlite fretboard, stainless frets...

    Website Bugs and Feature Requests

Just ordered a custom VIP and a bunch of hardware and it was mostly smooth sailing. However, it seems like when you select a dye, the visualizer takes away the top wood and shows the body wood dyed.

Does It *Have* To Be Wood?

I would absolutely love if richlite was a Warmoth option. I’m a big fan of alternative materials, especially ones that are exceedingly durable and stable. I have a Musikraft neck with a richlite board, a Kiesel on order with a richlite board, and a Rubato carbon fiber neck with richlite board on...

    Mooncaster over Clearwater (FL)...

I’m a big fan of bass cuts. I use a 1meg pot and a 2200pf capacitor, but that’s just my preference. I’m also using a linear taper pot as well because I find that it makes the range a little more meaningful.

Lindy Fralin pickups are my go-to for noiseless P90 varieties.

7/8 Body with Standard Size Neck

If you’re ok with the 24” scale length, it’s my understanding that Warmoth’s Mustang/Jaguar neck will fit and intonate properly with their 7/8 bodies.

Ordering parts for first build -- compatibility check

I'm excited to finally be ordering my first Warmoth! Well, at least the body. Before I pull the trigger, I was hoping to get some feedback to make sure there are no compatibility or functionality issues. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Neck: True Temperament 25.5" scale bolt-on S-style...

Help me choose the look for my Tele Deluxe build

Isn't roasted maple much more stable than hard maple though (and also less likely to warp in the yaw axis than quartersawn maple)? My primary reason for getting it would be stability.

A few questions about Pau Ferro

Sounds like Pau Ferro is a real winner! Thanks guys, I think I'll be going with it if a sufficiently dark piece of it is available around the time I'm ready to make this purchase.

Help me choose the look for my Tele Deluxe build

Thanks for all the feedback! I was slightly leaning towards the red painted headstock and rosewood or pau ferro board and it looks like most other people are as well.  :icon_biggrin: I think I will indeed go with a roasted maple neck for the extra stability and because I've heard nice things...

A few questions about Pau Ferro

Thanks for all the thoughts everyone! The more I read about pau ferro, the more intrigued by it I am. I also like the idea of it because it will make the guitar a little more unique. I have read that allergic reactions to it are common and fairly severe though. Is this something I need to be...

A few questions about Pau Ferro

Ah, did some Google image searching for Pau Ferro fretboards and there are quite a few that I dig the look of! I'll definitely still keep it in the running. Does it darken at all with oil or is it resistant?
