Warmoth Neck on Guitar Fetish body?

Has anyone combined a Warmoth neck and one of the finished Guitar Fetish bodies? How did that go?

    PNW techs

Just wanted to chime in as people continue to move to Seattle etc. This is very admittedly my own personal opinion and is certainly subjective. I have tried several techs in the Seattle area and have found most of them to be very stuck in vintage Fender and Gibson mindsets unless you are dealing...

    Fretboard Stickers

Anyone tried the fret board stickers from the Japanese firm Jockomo? Supposedly they don't bind up under your fingers. I am finding I really like the darn fret board inlays as a reference point but don't want to tear up a neck to get real ones carved into it.

Taking a little liberty here to refer those who have been concerned to Cagey's post this morning in Off Topic. You'll find it. Best to all of you.

    Ruthenium Tuners from Schaller

Anyone know what the intent of this particular model of the M6 locking tuner is? What benefit from Ruthenium would there be. I am assuming its not an attempt to say "gun metal grey." I love the M6 locking tuners but see on the Schaller site there is a version titled Ruthenium.

What is your guilty pleasure guitar?

As I sit at home and "work remotely" I try to look on the bright side that I can take a guitar break more readily. Got me thinking about what may qualify as a "guilty pleasure" instrument. I'm a strat player and am pretty much addicted to a traditional strat neck pickup. But I have this one...

    Nyatoh?

In a world of increasing use of "substitute" or "new" woods on instruments does anyone have anything on Nyatoh? Supposedly an Indonesian and Malaysian hardwood used sometimes in place of mahogany. There is a UK guitar maker using some non-traditional woods that don't faze me but this one has me...

    For any Klein pickup fans

For vintage spec type strat pickups I have been a fan of Chris Klein's work. I have his Epic '56 set, which I love and describe as exhibiting "texture" that matches well with using pick dynamics. Had a chance to play the Epic '59 set in a strat yesterday and was blown away. I suspect each model...

Neck Single Coil for EVH Frankenstein Bridge

Many of you have vastly more experience with the Seymour Duncan range of pickups than I do. All my strat single coils are very vintage type output, vintage voiced. I have a strat with the EVH Frankenstein humbucker in the bridge. I think it has an interesting voicing and I don't play VH or hard...

    Cocobolo Oxidizes?

I have two necks with cocobolo fretboards, one for three years and the other for two now. They appear to be darkening somewhat with time. Anyone else seen this? Its fine with me, one was a bit orangish at first and now it is a bit more earthy and matches well with the guitar it will be going...

    A Strat Made Of.........

I liked the strat made by the guy in the UK out of kitchen counter top, then the cardboard one, now this has come along. Heh, heh..... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zBWc5Ye-uLU

    RIP Queen of Soul

What can I even say, what a tremendous force of nature. She will be missed but all her music will endure across all dimensions.

Color of roasted maple vs plain maple

Taken in natural light from the window. Not the best camera but since I had these two necks lying around I thought it would be a comparison to make.

    Fat vs Thin

I don't have the greatest camera at the moment and have stuff to deal with but I finally got around to something I had wanted to post....neck thickness between standard thin in comparison to a fatback (a boatneck should be similar but will have less shoulder) So hopefully this illustrates things...

    Warmoth prototypes

I would like to see Warmoth put at least some of their prototypes into the showcase once a year or so. Could be very interesting and have the added benefit of tidying up the office there.

    MojoTone Quiet Coils

I think it was last year MojoTone launched their entry into the hum canceling strat pickup market. I had a set of their '58 Quiet Coils with hot bridge installed in one of my guitars with the recommended 500K pots and treble bleed kit. Got my guitar back yesterday and my impression is very...
