Hey there,
So, these DiMarzio 4 conductor pups actually have 5 wires. The extra one is a braided shield and is NOT connected to the green (ground) wire,
but is only connected to the pickup cover.
There is no mention of the braided shield wire in the manual so I'm going to guess and maybe...
Greetings!
I'm down to the final steps of finishing my build and I have a question about wiring.
Should these hot lines (see attached image - blue arrows point to connections I ask about) be shielded cable or is just a single piece of wire OK?
Thank you!
Steve
Greetings all!
Well - my mahogany body has been sitting for 32 days since the last coat (7 total) of Minwax wipe-on Satin Poly,
and I can't seem to remember what is recommend as the next and final step before assembly and use.
It looks really good as it is now, so I don't want to get into...
Generally, I've hated and not used amps ( and tubes ) since I quit playing live in 1998,
but in Feb. 2023 I picked up a Blackstar Fly 3 to have a practice amp.
My main complaint about that little amp was it couldn't get a loud enough clean sound.
So, about 3 weeks ago, I traded the Blackstar in...
Hi there,
I'm seeing 4 different choices for P Bass bodies at warmoth.com but I'm not finding a description of the differences.
P Bass - '51 P Bass - '54 P Bass - '72 P Bass
Can someone point me to a URL that tells the story?
Also, if I was wanting to duplicate a '65 P bass would I choose '54...
Hi there,
I'm seemingly not able to find any measurements on the mooncaster guitar body. How thick?
Does anyone have a link to a detailed spec sheet?
Thank you!
Steve
Greetings all,
I just acquired an other '80s G&L F-100 II. 1980 to be exact.
It's my second one. My first is a 1981 and I bought it new from a store.
I removed the finish from the fret board of my first one about 30 yrs. ago and it's been fine like that, but back then I had no idea
that maple...
Hey there,
Just curious if anyone can tell me what the binding colour is on the guitar in this Warmoth video?
Thank you!

My learning experience today - Using a Peterson VS-1 - on a hard tail strat bridge with 2 screws per saddle.
D, A, were sharp - adjusted - Both, now, 'feel' more comfortable to play. Feel slightly lower or more "in place."
OK ... So ...
Low E reads good on the tuner - but I moved the saddle...
Hi there,
I bought a used Godin classical guitar in 2018 that was built in 2015 and it still smells nasty.
It's a petro-chemical smell of sorts.
Godin said leave it out of the case on a stand for a while and it will stop but I did that for about a month and then put it back in the case
and now...
Hey there,
I got the tuners installed a few days ago, and did a first string-up test this morning.
Played it for a while and all is good.
Nut is very tolerable right out of the box!

I'll just add to this thread as work...
I'm glad the triangle box is so able to withstand UPS abuse.
The neck was undamaged.
The Warmoth shop people did an excellent job, and I'm very happy with it!
There are minor mineral spots on the ebony, no big deal, but the fret board it's a really nice piece of wood.
I didn't make a custom...
Hi there,
I'm not seeing part numbers for hardware on the new website, even though on a new order the part numbers are listed in the order.
Maybe I'm not seeing them?
Anyway, I think it would be good for us customers to be able reference part numbers when communicating with sales
so maybe this...
The Schaller M6 Locking has some design upgrades it seems. "S" logo on the back and maybe I'm seeing a nicer string insertion hole?
My set before these are 6 inline and a few years older.
Or is it that the 3+3 set is just different than the 6 in line set? Either way, I love these tuners.
Given to me by a client. Picture taken before cleanup.

It was made by Pan American instrument company Elkhart Indiana USA sometime before 1930.
Pan American was eventually purchased by Conn instruments sometime in 1930.
Of course it's a student...
