    Repainting a body...

Just curious, I have a Warmoth parts bass where the body was damaged (just the finish, still plays fine) from bug spray (Off Deep Woods). I had no idea that bug spray would basically melt the finish off. It's painted a color, so no clear over pretty wood thing, with a satin finish. Heck, I may...

    Cool looking bass idea...

Just thought is was a cool idea, where the headstock matches the block inlays, roasted maple inlays and neck/head stock, thought I would share....this person also got the blue painted over candy apple red, with no finish, so as it wears, it will "bleed through red" as he says.

    Warmoth Site

Just curious, is the Warmoth site section where you design your guitar/bass body not working? Where you pick colors, pickup routs, etc? Or for not all body choices?

    Bass build question

So I ordered a dinky p bass body, super light, in white pearl, and since it is rear routed, am thinking going sans pickguard. So is there anything I should do to help protect around the output jack? Felt ring under a washer? Or maybe a round jack plate, but not too big in diameter? Or maybe...

    Mooncaster F holes

Are the mooncaster f holes merely decorative, or do they really impact the tone for the bass? Makes me wonder since the choice of none, 1, or 2 is there, that it is just a choice of looks?

    New CD soon!

So been away for quite a while, and playing my Warmoth bass builds a ton! Was asked to join a band in late September, the Truckstop Hooligans as their bass player, and we went into the studio on the 20th of November and recorded 16 tracks, all on my Warmoth short scale P bass build. The BL will...

    Pick guards

How possible would it be to use roasted maple pieces that aren’t being used for something else, have been cut off the top of a body etc. to be used for a roasted maple pick guard for any type guitar?

    SS P Bass....

So I see a short scale P bass body in stock, only 3 lb 7 oz, and I'm wondering, would it be worth it to have another body made, and chambered, and a light piece of stock picked out, for another $100-140 ($100 for being chambered, $40 to have them hand pick a lightweight piece) to save another...

    Short scale P Bass

So for a Warmoth short scale P bass, does anyone know if the distance difference (if there is one) needed for the wires to the input when running it to a side input vs top input like you see on a standard Fender bass? The reason I ask is I can get a wiring harness pretty cheap, leaving me only...

    Adding effects....

So for you tech savvy builders, it is actually possible to add an effect, say reverb (or any other effect), directly into the guitar? Perhaps after tone/volume, in the signal chain in the guitar, before going to output, having a reverb (or whatever) knob to adjust? Has it ever been done? Can it...

    Others similar to Warmoth?

So I love what Warmoth does, and great quality products, but was wondering, are there other companies doing the same for other instruments? Like a drum parts company to build a drum kit? Or any other instruments you may think of?

    roasted necks/bodies

Curious, had this discussion with a few friends today....on average, how much lighter does a neck or body become from the roasting process? I know you are taking away most moisture, but 10% drop? 20%? more? The suspicion is that neck dive is all but eliminated with a roasted neck, as they are...

    Bass neck dive

For any that have built, or own, a bass with a chambered body, or even a light, relatively speaking, body, was neck dive a concern? I'd really like to keep the overall weight as light as I can, and considering a chambered, light body, P or P/J bass, short scale (likely 32") with a roasted maple...
