Just thought is was a cool idea, where the headstock matches the block inlays, roasted maple inlays and neck/head stock, thought I would share....this person also got the blue painted over candy apple red, with no finish, so as it wears, it will "bleed through red" as he says.

Just curious, is the Warmoth site section where you design your guitar/bass body not working? Where you pick colors, pickup routs, etc? Or for not all body choices?

So I ordered a dinky p bass body, super light, in white pearl, and since it is rear routed, am thinking going sans pickguard. So is there anything I should do to help protect around the output jack? Felt ring under a washer? Or maybe a round jack plate, but not too big in diameter? Or maybe...

Are the mooncaster f holes merely decorative, or do they really impact the tone for the bass? Makes me wonder since the choice of none, 1, or 2 is there, that it is just a choice of looks?

How possible would it be to use roasted maple pieces that aren’t being used for something else, have been cut off the top of a body etc. to be used for a roasted maple pick guard for any type guitar?

So I see a short scale P bass body in stock, only 3 lb 7 oz, and I'm wondering, would it be worth it to have another body made, and chambered, and a light piece of stock picked out, for another $100-140 ($100 for being chambered, $40 to have them hand pick a lightweight piece) to save another...

Curious, had this discussion with a few friends today....on average, how much lighter does a neck or body become from the roasting process? I know you are taking away most moisture, but 10% drop? 20%? more? The suspicion is that neck dive is all but eliminated with a roasted neck, as they are...

For any that have built, or own, a bass with a chambered body, or even a light, relatively speaking, body, was neck dive a concern? I'd really like to keep the overall weight as light as I can, and considering a chambered, light body, P or P/J bass, short scale (likely 32") with a roasted maple...
