New video: Aaron is throwing a tea party!

My friend....you have homework to do. Watch the movie Princess Bride immediately.

It is the Wizard of Oz of the 80s/90s generations, and quoted pretty much everywhere, all the time. (And just so you know, the correct response to this assignment is "As you wish.")

And don't let the fairy-tale movie poster fool you. Yes, there is kissing, but there is also cliff climbing, rock crushing, intrigue, adventure, sorcery, Andre the Giant, shrieking eels, torture, revenge, rodents of unusual size, pirates, fire swamps, and perhaps the greatest sword fight ever captured on film.
Inconceivable! I strongly dislike possums because of this movie. Don't let anyone fool you, they are not cute.

I think my crime here might be just completely blanking on the reference because I love this movie. Wasn't a childhood movie, I'll admit, but I watched it probably around the time I was in college purely out of curiosity (mostly because any time Andre would come up, someone on the internet would say 'Anybody want a peanut'?).

Now that I know what you're going for...I'm still no closer to knowing what the theme is! I was going to suggest a guitar you could play both right-handed and left-handed, but technically ALL guitars have that quality.

I like that idea!

“I admit, you are a better guitar player than I am.”

“Then why are you smiling?”

“Because I know something you don’t know.”

“And what is that?”

“I am not left-handed.”

Since we are already wildly off topic, I am going to tell a story you just reminded me of. It's a story of the best impromptu one-liner I ever delivered to a semi-famous person.

I was at NAMM in...2019, I think. I was in the ESP booth, and who do I come across but Mr. Michael Angelo Batio. I introduced myself and when he shook my hand I spontaneously quipped "Wow, I bet you could shake both my hands at the same time."

We laughed, and he hasn't spoken to me since. He didn't even text me for my birthday, and I reminded him, like, 75 times.

A couple minutes later I ran into Lita Ford. I was gonna tell her about the other time I met her back in 1985, when she showed up at a record signing at Tower Records in Seattle in a yellow VW bug.

But she wouldn't even say hi.

lmao looks like i got everyone good with that Peter falk joke. I smoked the fattest stogie I could find that day in 2011 in his honor.

i may not know every celebrity (like, i only this week learned that li'l Nas X is not rapper Nas's son nor the tenth diminutive Nas) but i know most of the classics. one day I'll be eating spaghetti with him in heaven (Peter falk, not li'l Nas X - I'm currently trying to get in contact with His People cause I'd rather party with him during this lifetime and not wait for the after-lifetime)
